Next week's #1 will probably be the Ariana/Iggy song tho.. Now that streaming is in the equation, there's no way in hell 300k or even 400k sales for Problem will be enough for it to debut at #1 on the Hot 100. I don't recall it getting many streams and it has just taken off on radio so it might just barely scrape the top 50 on radio next week. The highest it will debut at on the Hot 100 is I would say #5. My prediction is that it will sell 350k - 360k don't ask me why. Why?!!!!

Because 300k sales translates to 25k Hot 100 chart points and there's usually 6 or 7 songs (with significant airplay and streaming) that have more points than this on the Hot 100.

"New number one?" I'm scared...I hope something viral I was unaware of doesn't dethrone Happy before it gets 10 weeks at #1...hell I hope something viral doesn't ever do it, having like approximately 0 sales and airplay. The new #1 is probably "All of Me," with the new Top 10 being "Fancy."

It's crazy Iggy Azalea will probably have 2 songs in the Top 5 next week.

Wow @ Fancy with a HUGE gain in streaming! "Fancy" is coming hard for #1 on the Hot 100 in the coming weeks.

I highly doubt that All of Me will be number one this week even though I would like it to have #1 peak. It's just too far behind Happy in sales and streaming.

Yah the new #1 being a question, not a declaration makes me think it's still Happy.

Fancy is only #65 (May 3rd) in Canada...it could get to #1 before/without hitting top 10 in Canada...the only other song I can think of that did this was Whatever You Like (peaked at #12 on Canadian Hot 100) but I'm sure there are a few more.

Pharrell Williams Tops Hot 100 For 10th Week, Iggy Azalea Vaults Into Top 10www.billboard.com/articles/news/6070358/pharrell-williams-tops-hot-100-chart-10-weeks-iggy-azalea-top-10"Happy" becomes one of the elite 28 songs to have topped the Hot 100 for at least 10 weeks. Plus, John Legend's "All of Me" takes over Radio Songs and rap newbie Azalea soars into the Hot 100's top 10 with "Fancy" Pharrell Williams' "Happy" crowns the Billboard Hot 100 for a 10th week, becoming one of just 28 songs to reach double-digit weeks at No. 1 in the chart's 55-year history. Plus, John Legend's "All of Me" ascends to No. 1 on Radio Songs and rap rookie Iggy Azalea sends her first Hot 100 chart entry, "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, into the top 10. Wednesday means new-Hot 100 day, so let's look into the numbers behind the top 10 and more. "Happy" continues its Hot 100 command fueled by its 11th week at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart, down by 24 percent to 208,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The cut's reign trails only that of Flo Rida's "Low," featuring T-Pain, which racked a record 13 weeks on top in 2007-08 (and passes those of four titles that each led for 10 weeks). "Happy" spends a second week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs, with 8.4 million U.S. streams (down 8 percent), according to Nielsen BDS. It holds at No. 2 on the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart (2.2 million U.S. streams, up 5 percent), which it led for two weeks. On Radio Songs, the track departs the summit after eight weeks at No. 1, logging 193 million all-format audience impressions (down 6 percent), according to BDS. As previously reported, the song has set a record among crossover radio hits, having become the first title to top six single-format Billboard airplay charts. As for its place in Hot 100 history, "Happy" joins only 27 other No. 1s (of 1,034 total, or 3 just percent) to rule for 10 weeks or more. It's the first song to lead for at least 10 frames since Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," also featuring Williams, as well as T.I., totaled 12 weeks on top last year. "Happy" is also just the third No. 1 to reign for at least 10 weeks credited solely to one male artist: it joins Elton John's double-sided (remember physical singles?) "Candle in the Wind 1997"/"Something About the Way You Look Tonight" (14 weeks, 1997-98) and Eminem's 12-week topper "Lose Yourself" (12 weeks, 2002-03). With 16 weeks at No. 1 in 1995-96, Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" boasts the most time at the chart's apex. "Happy" spends a 12th week at No. 1 on the sales/airplay/streaming-based Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Happy" again ranks ahead of Legend's "All of Me" on the Hot 100, as the latter posts a sixth week at its No. 2 peak. The gap between the songs closes, however: as "Happy" drops by 13 percent in overall chart points while "Me" decreases by 4 percent, "Happy" tops the Hot 100 with 5 percent more points than "Me" after it led by 16 percent last week. As it continues to wait at No. 2 on the Hot 100, "Me" ascends to the top of Radio Songs (196 million, up less than 1 percent). It's Legend's first leader on Radio Songs, where he'd previously peaked as high as No. 12 with "Green Light," featuring Andre 3000, in 2009 (marking his last appearance on the chart as a lead artist until "Me"). "Me" leads On-Demand Songs for a fourth week (2.7 million, up 14 percent); rebounds from No. 3 to its No. 2 peak on Streaming Songs (7.7 million, up 1 percent); and tallies an eighth week at its No. 2 highpoint on Digital Songs (187,000, down 12 percent). Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, lifts 4-3 on the Hot 100, having led for four weeks before "Happy" began its domination. Follow-up "Birthday," meanwhile, blasts 83-37 with top Streaming and Airplay Gainer honors. It soars onto Streaming Songs at No. 11 (3.1 million, up 145 percent) following the April 24 premiere of its official video and enters Radio Songs at No. 49 (29 million, up 79 percent). Below Digital Songs, "Birthday" bounds by 135 percent to 23,000 sold. Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty," featuring 2 Chainz, regresses to No. 4 on the Hot 100 from its No. 3 peak, while DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" enters the top five (7-5). It holds at No. 5 on Digital Songs (131,000, up 10 percent); pushes 7-6 on Streaming Songs (5.9 million, up 31 percent); and lunges 23-14 on Radio Songs (52 million, up 17 percent). "Turn" tops the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a fifth week. As the soundtrack to Disney's "Frozen" notches a 12th week atop the Billboard 200, the album's "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel retreats to No. 6 from its No. 5 Hot 100 peak. Iggy Azalea scores the Hot 100's lone new top 10 entry this week, as "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, rockets 18-7. The first chart entry for Australian rapper Azalea continues its rapid rise, roaring 12-6 on Digital Songs (108,000, up 29 percent); 21-8 on Streaming Songs (4.2 million, up 72 percent); and 50-35 on Radio Songs (37 million, up 28 percent). The moves contribute to a big week for Azalea, as her debut full-length album "The New Classic" starts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 52,000 sold. How rare is it for a female rapper to send a debut Hot 100 hit into the top 10? Azalea is the first to do so since M.I.A. flew to No. 4 with "Paper Planes" in 2008. Since 2000, only one other female rapper has hit the top 10 on her first try: Lil Mama, whose "Lip Gloss" rose to No. 10 in 2007. (No female rapper had resided in the top 10 at all since Nicki Minaj, the featured act on Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat," which reached No. 5 in January 2013. Azalea is also the first female rapper to sport lead credit on a Hot 100 top 10 since Minaj, whose "Starships" peaked at No. 5 in June 2012.) With the jump for "Fancy," Charli XCX equals her best Hot 100 rank. She reached No. 7 a year ago in her sole prior chart visit, as a guest on Icona Pop's "I Love It." As reported yesterday, Azalea could land another top 10 next week: Ariana Grande's "Problem," featuring Azalea, could sell more than 300,000 downloads in its first week and debut in the chart's top tier. Bastille's "Pompeii" descends 6-8 on the Hot 100 (and tops Hot Rock Songs for an 11th week). It peaked at No. 5 for three weeks. The Hot 100 advance of "Fancy" helps lead to the two songs that reached the top 10 last week each falling a notch despite notable gains. Justin Timberlake's "Not a Bad Thing" backtracks 8-9 but climbs 8-6 on Radio Songs (90 million, up 13 percent); 11-9 on Digital Songs (87,000, down 1 percent), marking his 15th top 10 on the sales tally; and 37-35 on Streaming Songs (2.1 million, up 11 percent). Chris Brown's "Loyal," billed as featuring Lil Wayne and French Montana or Too $hort or Tyga, likewise slips a spot on the Hot 100 (9-10), but increases by 3 percent to 53 million and bullets again at No. 13 on Radio Songs. (As explained last week regarding its involved artist credit, "Loyal" was first released in two versions, the East Coast mix featuring French Montana and the West Coast edit featuring Too $hort. When its video was released on March 24, Tyga was featured in the third verse, instead of either French Montana or Too $hort. All three versions feature Lil Wayne and are available digitally and on streaming services.)

For those too lazy to read the Billboard article: 83 37 Katy Perry "Birthday" You mean: 37 83 Katy Perry "Birthday" I wonder if and how "Hello Kitty," "Marilyn Monroe," and "Pretty Hurts" debuted. Their music videos were at the top of Youtube all week.

I'm ok with Fancy getting to number one I guess, but I really want AOM to get just at least one week at #1 but at the same time it would be interesting to see it vying for the record most weeks at #2 without hitting number one...it's now only 4 weeks away from tying it and 5 weeks away from passing it...

If AOM can hang on for 1-2 more weeks, it'll get that #1. If not, fancy will have it before we know it. :/

It's a win-win situation for AOM I guess. Either it will get to #1 or land among songs that spent the most weeks at #2 without getting to #1 (although arguably the second one isn't really a good thing, since it was so close yet so far from being #1...) however as the article said the gap is being bridged so since Happy is falling notably harder than All of Me in streaming and airplay and about the same or a little bit harder in sales I think AOM should be #1 next week.

I'm still beyond baffled why Birthday isn't doing jack on iTunes. Even w/ these stellar radio updates it's making very little difference. I get there were many who didn't care for it but also many people loved it. That said, it's very concerning it's struggling to even get into the 50s on iTunes in her biggest market lol. W.W. the song is at least top 20 in many big countries. No idea what's missing from the song to make it(so far) not connect w/ the U.S. public. I think something similar happened with Treasure last summer. Was def. sluggish on radio/ sales for a while then he did a few high profile performances (like Katy should do..soon!) then it took off, had amazing longevity and ended up helping album sales. It's now beloved by most and considered a major influence on the retro sound that's hot again. Which ones? I'll give you #20 on iTunes in New Zealand, whether or not NZ is actually big, but that's all I can find.

(sorry double post) jk (I know how to check kworb btw :))
Money On My Mind is top 50 on Spotify? Even more surprising as Stay With Me isn't. The extent European hits (this, Waves and Rather Be) are able to do well on US Spotify without airplay/promo (and for MOMM, without even being a US single) is interesting. Looking at the top 100 in Spotify I also see Bad at #70, Changes at #82 and Shot Me Down at #100 (and Riptide at #54 which I don't think has done a lot in the US yet). I'm surprised Shot Me Down didn't get a radio release.

Fancy might go #1 next week. It's featured in a video that's going viral: 5 million views in less than a day. They play the song from the beginning until the second verse. It's the first song in the video. Still #1 on Spotify and selling 40% more than Happy/60% more than All of Me on iTunes. That segment alone shot All I Do Is Win into the Top 30 on iTunes. Amazing.

That segment alone shot All I Do Is Win into the Top 30 on iTunes. Amazing. And "Hook," which came out 20 years ago and peaked at 23 on the Hot 100, to #68 on iTunes. Do you think this video will be big enough to make Billboard change its rule about a stream counting for more than one song?

They might considering that each clip was of a considerable size and it had an immediate impact on the songs involved. If a kid crying while listening to Say Something in the background was included in streaming points, this has a fair chance.

Doesn't Billboard have a rule about multiple songs appearing in one video for streaming points?
