The last single released from the "Use Your Illusions" double album, and one of the songs used in the video trilogy (Don't Cry, November Rain and Estranged). The video is also well- documented as being one of the most expensive ever made. Brilliant song

Exhibit A of AXL's ego, and a true sign that GNR were on the their way out. It was released in March of 1994, two years after the "Illusion" albums were released, and a few months after "The Spaghetti Incident" came out and bombed.

Exhibit A of AXL's ego, and a true sign that GNR were on the their way out. It was released in March of 1994, two years after the "Illusion" albums were released, and a few months after "The Spaghetti Incident" came out and bombed. Axl was not the only one with a massive ego, and he was open about being fed up with the band's drug use. There's conceivable way they could have stayed together with all the various problems they faced as a band/individually. If not for Axl, GN'R would not have been ad massive as they were. And, the fact that this didn't do that well chart-wise doesn't take away from the musical brilliance. There are countless examples of songs that were massive and loved among fans that only charted within the top ten (or lower) back in the 80's.

I love it. My second favorite song on Use Your Illusion II behind "14 Years".

I love it. My second favorite song on Use Your Illusion II behind "14 Years". "Estranged" is my favorite GN'R song behind " Coma." Masterpiece. My top three would probably be Estranged, Civil War, and Locomotive, but there are so many amazing moments between both albums :)
