This is going to be a hard one. I love Alabama and have seen them numerous times in concert, including during their final tour. They used to come to Omaha every year and did a Monday - Friday nightly concert at a concert venue; they sold out every show each year.
1. I'm In A Hurry (And Don't Know Why) 2. She and I 3. Feels So Right 4. Dixieland Delight 5. Reckless
Bottom 5
1. If You're Gonna Play In Texas (overplayed and frankly I've never understood the hype about it) 2. Tar Top 3. God Must've Spent... (this after Mark Chesnutt's remake of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" was a lead-up of some questionable country songs in 2000) 4. It Works (shouldn't have been a single) 5. I'm In the Mood (expected better from Alabama as a release during one of last releases)

TOP I'm in a Hurry (And Don't Know Why) (insanely catchy and instant mood improver) My Home's in Alabama (epic jam to me, I guess I don't mind the length. "Drinkin' was forbidden in my Christian country home... I learned to play the flattop on them sad ol' gospel songs...") Give Me One More Shot Jukebox in my Mind (I actually couldn't recall this one offhand, but listened to it after seeing it ranked so highly ... really good song) Mountain Music (great imagery and production, plus I love the literary references) Song of the South (I've come to prefer Bobby Bare's and Tom T. Hall/Earl Scruggs's readings of this Bob McDill classic, but I still think Alabama's take on it is pretty great, plus it's the version I grew up with) Dixieland Delight Tennessee River The Cheap Seats (probably my favorite baseball-themed country song) If You're Gonna Play in Texas (yes, I love this one) The Maker Said Take Her Roll On (Eighteen Wheeler) There's a Fire (in the Night) (dang, this song is pretty racy) She and I Love in the First Degree (total guilty pleasure) She Ain't Your Ordinary Girl (see above)
BOTTOM God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You Pass It On Down (good message, but the lyrics are too unsubtle and preachy and sound like they're from a song you'd learn in school)
I haven't heard any of their albums, so singles only for me, and a lot of their singles I either can't remember or haven't heard. Alabama's not really a band I often go out of my way to listen to, but I like a good deal of their songs. They haven't really released much I would consider legitimately great, but nothing really bad either.
