With today being Mother's Day I just had a random idea to put this up. Do any of you have a playlist for your mom? Or if you were to create one, what five or ten songs would you include for her? I actually have a small playlist of songs that I added a while back and here's what it includes:
"No Doubt About It" - Neal McCoy (she loved Neal) "Heaven" - Neal McCoy "That's What Keeps Her Getting By" - Tracy Byrd "Whenever You Come Around" - Vince Gill "You'll Be There" - George Strait "Angels" - Randy Travis "Somebody's Hero" - Jamie O'Neal "(Without You) What Do I Do With Me" - Tanya Tucker "Anymore" - Travis Tritt "My Infinite Love" - George Strait "Lynda" - Steve Wariner
Happy Mother's Day everyone!

1. The Baby - Blake Shelton (Such a moving song for me. Many can't fully relate to this song but being the youngest child of my family, it makes this song extremely special. The first verse in particular)
2. Angels - Randy Travis (The first time I heard this song, it wasn't until that hook came where I really felt emotional. After the song was over I immediately called my Mom)
3. More - Rockie Lynne ("I know how much you love me. I love you more". How fitting)
4. The Woman In My Life - Phil Vassar ("And she believed in me, when I just gave up. She took all my worries, and she gave me love". Again, how fitting)
5. Be Grateful - The Farm (one of my mom's all time favorite country songs and she herself claims to only be a casual country music listener)
Well sorry to go all mushy on everyone. Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there. Love you Mom!

The "I got a call, come on home and come as fast as you can fly...she might not make it through the night" line was pretty much my experience.

George Jones - She Loved a Lot in Her Time www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Pcq86dPgBwNot many people know about this song, because it was released after George's commercial heyday and bombed on the charts. But it's one of the best things he ever recorded in my view, and it never fails to move me.

I can't really relate to this song (not yet at least), but I supposed Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song" would be a nice song to dedicate to a mother on Mother's Day.

I'd add Martina McBride's "We'll Pick Up Where We Left Off". It's more of my mom and my sister instead of me (she's always flying off to live in different places around the world), but it works.
