The lead single to his album So Many Rivers from 1985. It reached #2 on the R&B chart.
This is definitely my favorite song of his. The bridge and his vocals are really good. I also love the song's production... that smooth, soulful 80's realness is everything!! The lyrics kind of crack me up though.
