Thanks to Kentucky25 for the link! The only song that isn't the studio version is track #1. HITS has the album projected to sell 200-220k this week.

I love "One Hell of an Amen", "Let It Ride", "My Faith In You", "I'm Gone", "17 Again", My Baby's...", and "Lights of My Hometown" "Bad Boy" and "That Was Us" are good just not favorites. "STT" and "Bottoms Up" are not horrible to me, but they're clearly the lesser two songs of the album. Though as someone mentioned in the STT thread, Justin Moore sounds great in that song.
Hope to see "OHOAA" and "MFIY" released as singles. Doubt "MFIY" will, but "OHOAA" seems like a strong single choice.

I think this album is going to be huge for him. Granted, I have strong sales predictions to base that prediction off of, but if I hadn't seen those numbers and were just listening to it, I would still say the same thing. I think "17 Again" and "Lights Of My Hometown" are obvious smashes-in-waiting. Surprisingly, there's not much 'bro-country' on the album. "Bottoms Up" is the obvious exception, and of course "Small Town Throwdown" is somewhat 'bro' as well. "Hometown" is over 6 minutes long but there's a clear spot in there right around the 4:30 mark where it would be an obvious cut-off point and I'm guessing it was consciously recorded that way, with the possibility of it being a single in mind. I think "17 Again" is pretty radio-friendly although it's tough to discern his words through the noise; it's not overly loud, but it's loud enough, and coupled with Brantley's rough vocals and low amount of enunciation on much of his material, it's just hard to make out the words at points in that one. I think "Hometown" in particular would be a huge hit, an 'anthem-type' song for the younger generation like some of the big rock songs of the 80's/90's were for people who are now in their 30's. "Amen" is a pretty strong trap too, and "Let It Ride" is a surprisingly strong ballad. This isn't my favorite type of country music, mostly because I consider Brantley to be more rock/southern rock than country, but some of this stuff is actually pretty good, I'll admit. He'll never be one of my favorite artists but he's got some good stuff here that shows off more than just his "outlaw/tough guy" side, and it's not just 'partying out in the country' crap either. But go figure, the only 2 songs I absolutely hate are the first 2 singles. :|

"Bottoms Up" is the obvious exception, and of course "Small Town Throwdown" is somewhat 'bro' as well. Totally agree. "17 Again" and "Hometown" are definitely two standouts, and seem like huge radio hits. I also liked "My Faith In You", though I'm sure that one isn't a single contender. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the album, especially given the first 2 singles. Brantley actually had a few album-tracks I really enjoyed on his debut album, but unfortunately they were never released to radio.

This is fantastic. "17 Again" sounds like a smash. Everything about "One Hell of an Amen" is terrific, and I love the raw emotion in "I'm Gone" and "My Faith In You". The latter is a song I can really relate to. "Small Town Throwdown is the only song I don't like. "Read Me My Rights" is actually a favorite of mine, even if it's loud as hell.

This is a stellar album. Really enjoying My Baby's Guns N Roses and have been hearing that that could be a single. Lights and 17 again are great. Sure Brantley doesn't have the best vocals but I really like his stuff.

Lights of my Hometown would make for a perfect 3rd single to follow up his two party songs. That is the standout song on the album. I would love to see My Faith In You released too, but I would bet Let It Ride is a safe bet to be released at some point, with My Baby's Guns N Roses or 17 Again as the other likely single candidates.

The more I hear "Lights of My Hometown", the more I think it'll be an absolutely massive hit. It's incredibly catchy, the lyrics are strong, and many people will really relate to it. I could see this being as big or even bigger than a single like "Springsteen" was for Eric Church. It's a career song.

I've never been a Brantley Gilbert fan. I found the singles from Halfway to Heaven either extremely boring or extremely annoying. I've listened to "Bottoms Up", "Small Town Throwdown", "17 Again", and "Lights of my Hometown" so far and I don't know what to think. "17 Again" and "Lights of my Hometown" seem like complete radio smashes that I can actually root for. On the other hand, "Bottoms Up" and "Small Town Throwdown" have me actively rooting against them. Brantley's never going to be a favorite of mine, but it's nice to see that he's making good music that hopefully will get the beneficial radio support it deserves.

Wow, the link doesn't work to stream the songs anymore. All the videos have been swapped with live recordings or completely different songs that aren't even Brantley singing, lol.

Someone (@windmillsmusic maybe?) mentioned that Borchetta isn't allowing the CD for streaming for 60 days, which he also did for the Rascal Flatts album.

That explains it...I was perplexed as to why there was no listening party for "Rewind" anywhere, even though literally every other album was up for streaming on Itunes/Mediabase. Is SB/Big Machine thinking this could boost sales later down the line or something, maybe to bring a surge of momentum later?

Is SB/Big Machine thinking this could boost sales later down the line or something, maybe to bring a surge of momentum later? This is most likely it (although I don't know about the 'surge of momentum later' part. Borchetta has done this with several BMLG artists including with Taylor's Red album. He's kept albums off services such as Spotify for the first few months after the album's release, probably because he figures they'll lose some sales if they are so readily and easily available for streaming. I actually don't think it's a bad move. Sure, for us fans, it might be a little annoying or frustrating, that we can't check out the albums online. But even with the explosive growth of streaming services, labels don't make a ton of money from them, and artists make even less. I'm definitely not convinced that streaming is the future. It's nice and convenient but I'd much rather own the music myself and have it stored on my own hard drive.

This is from the latest Mediabase update, which is airplay through Thursday: I imagine it got some airplay on Memorial Day but it looks like only about 10 spins came from Monday. And with 5 songs set to drop off the next Billboard chart (Rewind, Invisible, The South, and You Sound Good To Me will all leave for sure, and I think Get Me Some Of That will fall just enough to join them), Brantley could debut with this album track. Jamie Lynn Spears is down in audience for the week so I don't think she'll re-enter. Jake & FGL's "Summer Jam" has enough audience to be in the top 60 but I expect Billboard will continue treating it like a Christmas song and won't allow it to re-enter, since it charted two summers ago. Dylan Scott's up about 50k over the last 4 days so he might be able to re-enter but I don't think he will. The first 2 songs to get on the chart will easily be Hunter's "Tattoo" and Sheryl's "Shotgun", they'll be the highest 2 debuts. After them I would expect David Fanning to re-enter and take a spot, and it looks like Ryan Kinder will debut and I'm so happy about that! But aside from those 4 debuts/re-entries, I can't really find any other songs that look likely to make it on, which means the last spot could go to "One Hell Of An Amen". Jana Kramer is at only 320k, Ben Rue is at 230k, and that's about it. Ironically, Brantley's version of "Dirt Road Anthem" has gone from 0 in audience to 299k in the past week, but I don't expect that to debut.

This album has officially been certified Gold by the RIAA. According to Roughstock, sales are at 433,000, but with albums shipped it's past 500k.

Will Just As I Am go platinum? It's eligible to be Platinum actually. It should have sold 948,000 by now. One of our posters, areyoureadytojump tweeted this some days ago:

This album era has gone on forever but it's a shame a song like "17 Again" didn't get released. That had smash summer hit written all over it to me.
