Sure, why not. Top: 1. Speed (also one of my Dad's favorite country songs) 2. Something To Be Proud Of (total sucker for story songs like this) 3. Back When I Knew It All 4. She Couldn't Change Me (sure didn't take her that long to not enjoy the west coast...Still love the song though) 5. Hillbilly Shoes 6. What Do Ya Think About That 7. Lonely And Gone 8. She Don't Tell Me To 9. My Town 10. Lucky Man 11. Gone 12. Cold One Comin' On 13. Roll With Me 14. If You Ever Stopped Loving Me 15. Daddy Won't Sell The Farm 16. While You're Still Young (grew on me, so I'll add this one) Top Album Tracks: 1. Scarecrow 2. Twenty Years Ago ( phil1996 nailed these) Bottom: 1. Oughta Be More Songs About That (what a horrid lead single. I like the message, but it was so slow and lacking a flow) 2. I'll Keep The Kids (don't like self-pity) 3. Where I Come From (just too average) 4. So Called Life 5. Hell Yeah (too overplayed in my neck of the woods. Wouldn't care if I never heard this again)

Nothing really stands out that much to me as something I haven't liked from them.

Montgomery Gentry
TOP 1. Something to Be Proud Of 2. Gone 3. Lonely and Gone 4. While You're Still Young 5. I'll Keep the Kids 6. She Couldn't Change Me 7. Hillbilly Shoes 8. Speed 9. Back When I Knew It All 10. NEVER HEARD 1. So Called Life
BOTTOM 1. You Do Your Thing (so slow and boring, with the super-limited non-melody of Casey Beathard to boot)

Really loved MG during their prime, but IMO their quality started to fall off noticeably around 2007 or 2008 (which was just before they went from B-list to barely-cracking-top-40 status) TOP 20: 01 "Speed" 02 "Something To Be Proud Of" 03 "She Couldn't Change Me" 04 "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" 05 "My Town" 06 "Cold One Comin' On" 07 "Gone" 08 "Lonely And Gone" 09 "Daddy Won't Sell The Farm" 10 "Back When I Knew It All" 11 "Hillbilly Shoes" 12 "Lucky Man" 13 "Where I Come From" (sub-par lyrics but I love the production) 14 "Roll With Me" 15 "Some People Change" 16 "One In Every Crowd" 17 "She Don't Tell Me To" 18 "So Called Life" 19 "While You're Still Young" 20 "Self Made Man" BOTTOM 5: 01 "Oughta Be More Songs About That" (terrible title, terrible single...I honestly don't really remember how it even goes, I just know I don't care for it, at all) 02 "You Do Your Thing" 03 "What Do Ya Think About That" (they shouldn't end songs with "about that"...they generally don't go over very well with me, lol) 04 "Long Line Of Losers" (this marked the end of their "major success" at radio and it's not all that surprising...just a terrible single choice) 05 "Hell Yeah" (just super obnoxious and way over-played) I left out "All Night Long" and "I'll Keep The Kids" because I can't remember how either of them goes and didn't feel like looking them up just now... But basically, if I liked them, I would have listed them (I've heard them before but they apparently left 0 impression on me, and of course it doesn't help that neither song made the top 30 at radio) Actually most of their songs that didn't make top 20 at radio--including "While You're Still Young" and "So Called Life"--barely stick in my memory.

TOP (no particular order) Cold One Comin' On Something to Be Proud Of I've Loved a Lot More Than I've Hurt My Father's Son Lonely and Gone Scarecrow Daddy Won't Sell the Farm Speed My Town If You Ever Stop Loving Me I Ain't Got It All That Bad Tattoos and Scars Twenty Years Ago Lie Before You Leave All I Know About Mexico For the Money
BOTTOM What Do You Think About That Merry Christmas from the Family (props for recording this, but sorry, you guys are no Robert Earl Keen) Gone You Do Your Thing Lucky Man (not bad, but I've heard a million variations of this theme, and this song does nothing to stand out. They also recorded a song entitled "I Ain't Got It All That Bad" which is very similar but much more interesting in my view) She Don't Tell Me To (not bad, just meh) Hell Yeah
MG seems to get a lot of hate in the blogsphere but I actually think they're one of the better mainstream acts of the early '00s. I genuinely like most everything they put out.

Random act, but here goes...
Top: 1. Speed (I can get lost in this song) 2. Didn't I (I guess no one remembers this...) 3. My Town (remember hearing this when I was in boot camp and just loved it...also the piano intro is great) 4. Lonely and Gone 5. She Couldn't Change Me
Runner-up: Something to Be Proud Of
Bottom: 1. You Do Your Thing 2. What Do You Think About That 3. Long Line of Losers 4. Gone 5. Hell Yeah

Big MG Fan. Love pretty much everything they have put out, but have enjoyed more of their album cuts when it comes to my favorites.
Top: 1. If You Ever Stop Loving Me ( Love the sound of this one and the music video that accompanied it) 2. Redder Than That 3. All I Know About Mexico 4. If A Broken Heart Could Kill 5. Tattoos & Scars 6. Where I Come From 7. Something To Be Proud Of 8. Speed 9. Lonely & Gone 10. If It's The Last Thing I Do 11. Rebels On The Run 12. I Don't Have It All That Bad 13. You Do Your Thing 14. Hillbilly Shoes 15. Long Line Of Losers
Bottom: 1. Back When I knew It All 2. Roll With Me 3. One In Every Crowd 4 & 5 are My Town & Hell Yeah. Not bad songs, although just tired of hearing them. As far as the first three go, I believe all were on the same record and I didn't really care for that era other than Long Line of Losers.

2. Didn't I (I guess no one remembers this...) I know some people here ranked album tracks as well but most of us did only their singles, and "Didn't I" wasn't actually a single. It got some unsolicited airplay and charted on Billboard (#45 peak) back in 2002 but it was from the We Were Soldiers soundtrack and not an officially promoted single from any of MG's albums, so I think that's probably why it didn't turn up on any lists in this thread :) I quite liked the song, although it's been forever since I've heard it.

Yea I should've * asterisked that one as I don't usually include non-singles on these lists. That said I've always considered it somewhat more than an album cut (or one from a soundtrack rather) for whatever reason considering they released a video for it. Great song though and one I've always remembered from MG.

Ugh, some of my all-time favorite country songs are from MG. It's too bad they haven't put out any quality material (except "Where I Come From") in years.
Love 01. Something To Be Proud Of *** Merry Christmas From The Family 02. Back When I Knew It All 03. Speed 04. Some People Change 05. If You Ever Stop Loving Me 06. Where I Come From 07. Hell Yeah 08. Gone (Scotty McCreery kinda ruined this one for me...)
Dislike 01. Long Line of Losers 02. What Do Ya Think About That 03. You Do Your Thing all of their singles (except Where I Come From) since they left Sony
