TOP 1. Don't! 2. No One Needs to Know (probably the countriest thing she put out) 3. I'm Gonna Getcha Good! 4. Love Gets Me Every Time 5. (If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here! 6. Rock This Country! 7. That Don't Impress Me Much 8. Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) 9. Come On Over 10. Any Man of Mine 11. What Made You Say That (admit it, late-90s country would've been a totally different animal if she'd stuck to songs like this) 12. Up! 13. I'm Holding On to Love (To Save My Life) 14. You Win My Love 15. Dance with the One That Brought You
BOTTOM 1. I Ain't No Quitter (oh God, I forgot all about this mess until I rechecked her discography…) 2. Party for Two (coincidentally, this is also the only thing with Billy Currington's name on it that I don't like) 3. Forever and For Always 4. You're Still the One (the only interesting thing about this is the steel solo, which sounds like it's being played backwards) 5. She's Not Just a Pretty Face (did you get this out of Jo Dee Messina's rejected girl-power anthem bin?) 6. It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing (then go see the allergist, because you clearly have asthma) 7. Shoes 8. Today Is Your Day (she sounds downright comatose on this) 9. The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You) 10. From This Moment On (that said, I somehow find the Bryan White version more palatable than the solo version)
I find it funny that I generally favor Shania's uptempos to her ballads, yet among the three cuts on her Greatest Hits, I found the ballad to be my favorite, and the two up-tempos my least favorites.

I love this woman. Shania is easily one of my favourite artists ever, and I really miss her presence in music. I was a fan of hers before she broke out. She started our playing the Deerhurst Resort in Hunstville, which is a town I worked in for a few summers. My family still has a property fairly close to there, which she still visits regularly. Her book is also an excellent read.
Top Singles:
1. No One Needs To Know 2. Any Man Of Mine 3. I'm Holding On To Love To Save My Life 4. That Don't Impress Me Much 5. You're Still The One 6. If You're Not In It For Love I'm Outta Here 7. Come On Over 8. When 9. Don't Be Stupid 10. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under 11. Up 12. Rock This Country 13. You Win My Love 14. What Made You Say That 15. Love Gets Me Every Time 16. The Woman In Me 17. Man I Feel Like A Woman 18. Forever And For Always 19. Home Ain't Where His Heart Is Anymore 20. It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing
Top Album Tracks:
1. Nah 2. In My Car I'll Be The Driver 3. I'm Not In The Mood To Say No 4. When You Kiss Me 5. I'm Jealous
Bottom Singles:
1. Don't 2. Shoes 3. I Ain't No Quitter
I still remember what an event it was when she released Come On Over. That was the first and only time that I can remember an entire album being played on the radio from start to finish.

I don't have my lists for this yet, but it's so crazy how Shania vanished on the radio almost overnight after the Up! era was done. I know she obviously went on hiatus but who could've foreseen it lasting so long? She did have a Greatest Hits package but aside from "Party For Two", she didn't really score any more hits after Up! I guess, for me, it just seems like she disappeared so quickly. She hasn't been a major force on the radio for 10 years now.
Shania was basically the soundtrack of my childhood. She wasn't a huge favorite of mine but oh man, the nostalgia! She was everywhere on the radio from about '95 into 2003 and then she was gone.
It'll be really interesting to hear a new project from her after so much time has passed but I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if she'd kept making music throughout the last 10 years.

I know, it's crazy to think how she would have shaped the landscape of country music had she not gone on hiatus. I never would have thought it would have lasted for as long as it did. At this point, I doubt she ever releases another album, but I'll guess we'll have to see. I was 10 when "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" broke through, and 11 when The Woman In Me really made its impact. Shania was a huge part of my childhood, especially with her being essentially a hometown girl.

^ Completely agree. Shania was my childhood from the mid 90's to the early 2000's. Especially that 97-99 range. She easily gets my vote for most anticipated return for an artist.
Top: 1. Honey I'm Home (don't care, I can't help but love this song for my above statement) 2. Love Gets Me Every Time 3. Any Man Of Mine 4. No One Needs To Know 5. Up! 6. That Don't Impress Me Much 7. Come On Over (she was great at melodies in her hay day) 8. I'm Gonna Getcha Good! 9. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under 10. (If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here! 11. Rock This Country! 12. Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) 13. You're Still The One 14. Forever And For Always 15. Don't 16. Man I Feel Like A Woman (sorry, can't help it. I love the sound of this song) 17. What Made You Say That 18. You Win My Love 19. It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing 20. I'm Holdin' On To Love (To Save My Life)
Top Album Tracks: 1. Black Eyes, Blue Tears (Come on now. If your going to have 11 singles, I'm sure one more won't kill you) 2. In My Car (I'll Be The Driver)
Bottom: 1. I Ain't No Quitter (I actually thought I was too hard on this song back in 05, til I saw the video to this recently. Just as bad as I remember) 2. Today Is Your Day 3. Shoes (WYRK loved playing this for some reason) 4. From This Moment On 5. Party For Two (not too bad, but I had to find a fifth)

O.M.G. I loved this woman throughout my childhood and I really miss hearing her music on the radio. I really can't rank her songs at the moment, but to sum it up, I loved everything, single and album tracks, she's put out during both albums from the 90s, and even a solid handful from Up!, too.

It would be hard for me to rank her songs cause her music was like many of you said, the soundtrack to my teen and college years. I rememeber freaking out when I got 2nd row seats to her "Come on Over" tour and seeing her so close! I was 18 at the time. Last year I cashed in airline miles and flew to Vegas just to see her show. Her voice, music, and stage presence is still as strong as it was in the 90s! I can't wait for her to finally release music. Shania ranks up there with Reba, Dolly, and the Judds/Wynonna as being part of the group of Country women who made me fall in love with the genre. To me there is no real Country music without a female presence like I was influenced by in the 90s growing up. Shania still holds the record for best selling female album of all time (in America anyway) and I doubt that will ever be broken now that we are in the digital age.

Shania is who turned me onto country music. I was exposed all my life to artists like Reba, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, and many more, but Shania's sound is what really got me into country music. I remember in the early 2000s blasting "Don't Be Stupid" and screaming it out the car windows with my siblings. Also, "From This Moment On" is the first song I ever sang publicly. The first CD I ever bought with my own money (leftover change from my lunch money ) was Shania's "Up". I credit Shania for making me a country fan. Before Carrie Underwood, I was a hardcore Shania fan... still am, actually, but it's hard when no new material is released in a decade. You naturally lose interest and move on, but I'm always on the lookout for new Shania Twain. I honestly can only make a "Top" list, because there isn't a single Shania track that I dislike, honestly. I thoroughly enjoy her albums the whole way through. With Shania there are no "fillers" - every song has its place, and makes her albums truly complete. She's one of a kind, and I miss her presence as well!

I too agree that I am just surprised how Shania virtually disappeared from country radio. She was everywhere and then poof, gone. It was nice going back listening to her repertoire of music.
Top: 1. No One Needs To Know (I equate this song with the movie "Twister" which is still a favorite of mine) 2. Forever and For Always 3. The Woman In Me (the video to this, wow...) 4. From This Moment On (w/ Bryan White) 5. What Made You Say That
Runner up: Don't
Favorite Album Tracks: Pretty much anything and everything on Come On Over, such as "When," "Black Eyes Blue Tears," and "I Won't Leave You Lonely."
Bottom: 1. I Ain't No Quitter 2. Party for Two (oui, the first verse of this and the rest is just cringe worthy) 3. Any Man of Mine (overplayed)

I'm the same as many others here that I love every song from The Woman In Me, Come On Over and Up. In fact, some of her non singles were my favorites (Leaving Is The Only Way Out, Raining On Our Love, Black Eyes Blue Tears, I'm Jealous, I Ain't Going Down). She is what got me addicted to country music. I always liked it but mainly because it is what my parents listened. Shania was my first favorite and like others have said, she is the soundtrack to so much of my life. I need to see her in Vegas.

In my opinion, Any man of Mine was the most country sounding record she put out.. But I do agree with No One Needs to Know. And I am amazed that she plays I Ain't No Quitter in the vegas show but does not play Forever and for Always, one of her best ballads! Crazy

Crazy In Vegas she does not play "Love Gets Me Every Time", her biggest charting hit, 5 weeks at #1. That shocked me when I saw the show, but it was well worth the money! I heard she is gonna put it on DVD eventually.

Clearly in the minority here, but Shania's never been a favorite of mine.
I love a few songs, though, but ironically I love her Country songs more than her Pop megahits. 1.Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under 2. Any Man Of Mine 3. No One Needs To Know 4. From This Moment On 5. Man, I Feel Like A Woman

She really didn't disappear from radio, she just disappeared (until recently) in general. Yea that's what I was going for :) Shania is one of those artists that I didn't appreciate then as much as I do now, if only because I don't usually jump on board with whats "hot" at the moment. I've certainly gained a much deeper respect for her and her music. I can only assume the circumstances surrounding her personal life made her to decide to take an extended absence and reevaluate everything in her life. I don't think there's any words to quite describe how shocking everything must have been to her. Anyways, her hits are certainly still heard on radio today but I can't help but to think what kind of great music we could/would have gotten from her during her long break. Hoping for more great Shania music in the future!

Can't really rank which of her songs are my faves 'cause they're almost equally as good. But my least favorite would have to be the three singles released, from her Greatest Hits collection. That's the worst anyone has ever sounded on record. You can tell there's something wrong with her vocal cords or something. It's a painful listen. And I almost forgot about the song she did for the Desperate Housewives soundtrack. She sounded even tired and strained on that one.

I thought they could've left She's Not Just A Pretty Face off the singles list... It's an ok album track, but for radio - didn't really fit.
And the last three singles released from her Greatest Hits CD - she's never sang live before - that I know of...The performance on the 2004 CMAs - Shania's vocal was tracked, but Billys was live.

Top 5 Singles: 1. No One Needs to Know 2. Love Gets Me Every Time 3. When 4. Forever and for Always 5. Any Man of Mine
Top 5 album tracks: 1. If It Don't Take Two 2. There Goes the Neighborhood (first cd) 3. I'm Jealous 4. I Won't Leave You Lonely 5. Still Under the Weather (first cd)
Bottom Singles: 1. She's Not Just A Pretty Face (not a good single for her to promote the album) 2. Shoes (it's ok, fun, but not that great - I think she even wrote it too?) 3. Party for Two (it was actually written as a joke at first lol, but went to #2 on the country charts) 4. Today is your Day (an uplifting little song, but a strange one for her comeback)

I am loving all of the love for I'm Jealous... that song is one of my absolute favourites from Shania.
I love most of her singles and it's hard to choose a Top 5, but for non-singles, these are my favourites:
1. I'm Jealous 2. Whatever You Do! Don't! 3. If It Don't Take Two 4. (Wanna Get To Know You) That Good! 5. In My Car (I'll Be The Driver)

Shan is my favorite. This is my first time doing one of these rankings. I'm going to dig into the album tracks too--I'm not sure if we're supposed to focus only on singles or whatever. Here we go.
TOP: From This Moment On You're Still The One You've Got A Way Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under No One Needs To Know I'm Jealous Forever and For Always Endless Love Any Man Of Mine
BOTTOM: That Don't Impress Me Much (the international/dance mix especially) I Ain't No Quitter Juanita Waiter! Bring Me Water You Lay A Whole Lot Of Love On Me (not even that bad but to round out at 5)

I'm not going to spend a long time looking for another thread called this, so I'll start a new one (if there is one, oops) Please be sure and check next time. There was already a Shania thread (and these recent posts have been moved into it), and you posted in it back during the summer. It only took me about 5 seconds to find the thread. Just go to the search box and type in the keyword(s) you're searching for (in this case, "Shania Twain"). Most times, the thread you are looking for will be on the first page of results.

I am still a fan of her first CD from 93. Those are some stellar tracks, particularly "Still Under the Weather"
And No One Needs to Know is a great song, but I think the "countriest" thing she ever put out was Any Man of Mine
