charismatic, it's too bad your enthusiasm and fandom doesn't go to a more... oh, nevermind. And zero airplay? That's quite the diss to the Spanish Contemporary stations that have made it top 30 at the format. ;)

It's really surprising to see "Ain't It Fun" and "Not a Bad Thing" only just now crossing 1 million, considering how massive they were/are at Pop radio.. I suppose they'll both get 2 million when all's said and done, but that still won't correspond to their airplay.

Just an example of how radio doesn't change people not enjoying songs well enough to buy them.

music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/chart-watch-classic-top-20-000338471.htmlChart Watch: A “Classic” In The Top 20By Paul Grein, Yahoo! Chart Watch MKTO's snazzy "Classic" finally breaks into the top 20, jumping from #23 to #18 in its 18th week on the Hot 100. I'm sure you know the key lyric: "I wanna thrill ya like Michael/ I wanna kiss you like Prince/Let's get it on like Marvin Gaye/Like Hathaway, write a song for you like this." So when was the last time each of these classic soul men was in the top 20? For Michael Jackson it was just three weeks ago, when he scored with "Love Never Felt So Good," a silky collabo with Justin Timberlake. For Prince it was in 1995 with "I Hate U." For Marvin Gaye, it was in 1983 with his smoldering comeback smash "Sexual Healing." And for Donny Hathaway, it was in 1978 with "The Closer I Get To You," his romantic ballad duet with Roberta Flack. This week's big chart news is "Hangover" by PSY featuring Snoop Dogg emerging as the top new entry on the Hot 100 at #26. I covered this, and all the top 10 action, in a Chart Watch blog that we posted Wednesday. If you missed it, here's a link. This blog focuses on key movers and debuts below the top 10. "Latch" by Disclosure featuring Sam Smith jumps from #17 to #14 in its 13th week. "This Is How We Roll" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Jason Derulo & Luke Bryan drops from #15 to #17 in its 19th week. The original mix by Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan logs its sixth week at #1 on Hot Country Songs. That's the longest run at #1 for a collabo on the country chart since "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" by Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffett had eight weeks on top in the summer of 2003. Let me explain something. "Cruise" spent 24 weeks on top in 2012-2013, but the version on the country chart was credited only to Florida Georgia Line. The collabo with Nelly was designed for the pop market. Digital sales rank for "This Is How We Roll": #10 (106K). Nicki Minaj's "Pills N Potions" leaps from #43 to #24 in its fourth week … Charli XCX's "Boom Clap" vaults from #62 to #29 in its second week. It's from The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack, which jumps from #8 to #5 on The Billboard 200 … Enrique Iglesias lands his 11th top 40 hit as "Bailando" (featuring Descemer Bueno & Gente de Zona) jumps from #53 to #40 in its seventh week. This is Iglesias' first Spanish-language song to make the top 40 … "2 On" by Tinashe featuring ScHoolboy Q jumps from #52 to #44 in its sixth week. Ed Sheeran's "Don't" is the week's second highest new entry at #46. It's the third Hot 100 song from Sheeran's sophomore album, x, which is due June 23 … "Or Nah" by Ty Dolla $ign featuring Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard leaps from #72 to #48 in its 13th week … Shakira's "Dare (La La La) vaults from #83 to #53 in its fourth week. "We Are One (Ole Ola)" by Pitbull featuring Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte re-enters the chart at #59. It's from The 2014 FIFA World Cup Official Album … Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)" jumps from #73 to #63 in its third week … Usher's steamy "Good Kisser" jumps from #75 to #66 in its sixth week … Ingrid Michaelson's "Girls Chase Boys" jumps from #82 to #74 in its 10th week … Becky G's "Shower" jumps from #88 to #75 in its second week … "Wasted" by Tiesto featuring Matthew Koma jumps from #95 to #76 in its second week. Tiesto's album, A Town Called Paradise will enter next week's Billboard 200. "Studio" by ScHoolboy Q featuring BJ The Chicago Kid jumps from #89 to #81 in its second week … Lorde's "Tennis Court" jumps from #92 to #83 in its 12th week. The song has climbed as high as #71 … "Really Don't Care" by Demi Lovato featuring Cher Lloyd re-enters the chart at #92 … Childish Gambino's "3005" re-enters the chart at #94 … "Small Town Throwdown" by Brantley Gilbert featuring Justin Moore & Thomas Rhett is the week's third highest new entry (as opposed to re-entry) at #95. It's the second single from Gilbert's third album, Just As I Am, which has ranked in the top five on The Billboard 200 the past four weeks. "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne debuts at #97. The song topped the Official U.K. Singles Chart for four weeks in February. That puts it in a tie with Pharrell Williams's "Happy" for the longest run at #1 in the U.K. so far this year. (If you don't know "Rather Be" yet, check it out. It's a great pop record.) Cole Swindell's "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" debuts at #99. It's the second Hot 100 single from his eponymous debut album. "Chillin' It" reached #28 … "Jungle" by Jamie N Commons & X Ambassadors debuts at #100, after being featured in an episode and trailer for Netflix's Orange Is The New Black, a trailer for the movie Welcome To Yesterday and a synch in a World Cup commercial for Beats Electronics.

they didn't mention anything about work though. should we assume it might have fallen some more this week? :(

Snoop is featured on another mindless hit with a one-word title: Flo Rida's "Wiggle." That song holds at #5 this week. Snoop appears content to play the comic foil on pop hits that surely reduce your IQ every time you play them. Um... what?

No, record labels have to pay to get singles and albums certified for some reason, so many singles and albums are undercertified, especially singles. They have 7 million singles. I believe the other two that weren't mentioned by Daniel Collins are probably "CrushCrushCrush" and "That's What You Get." I wonder how close "Ignorance" is.

No. Singles are not automatically certified when they cross a certification threshold. Paramore's label, Fueled By Ramen, has not certified the single yet with the RIAA. Paramore's album, All We Know Is Falling, has sold over 530,000 copies and has not been certified Gold with the RIAA. Their current album, Paramore, is probably eligible now for a Gold certification. It has sold approx. 425,000.

"Hangover"'s streams really weren't as high for the US as I was expecting. Good. He still has three top 30 hits, including two top 5s. :/ What's the other top 30 hit besides Gentleman and Gangnam Style?

WTF!? Flo Rida's "Wiggle"? I think he did that on purpose but I don't see how their styles are similar.

and I'm still not quite sure why. Because it's Maroon 5. True, and Maroon 5 is pretty amazing, I like almost all Maroon 5 songs, but that one was ok to me, not #1 AC or #2 Pop worthy imo. Payphone and One More Night were incredible, Daylight was amazing, Lucky Strike was great, and Love Somebody was good.

Love Somebody had high callout scores and was a new single from a radio darling that was inoffensively catchy (which radio LOVES). I am not surprised it did well at all.

Yeah, just because a song doesn't sell well doesn't mean it's getting a bad reaction on radio. People try to act like the buying and radio audience is completely the same, when it's not. Of course there's an overlap, but there's outer regions in each. For a counter example, look at Gangnam Style. Huge sales, record breaking streams and it got horrible response from radio.
