That single artwork is tragic. But I will hold off on judging until I hear the studio version.

You now honestly this song isn't that bad, it's catchy and pretty fun. They just sound like southern rock though, and unfortunately there's really no radio format that plays or supports that type of music. Back in the 70s and 80s, a song like this could do decent, but not in today's world. Outside of the Alabama Shakes, I don't know a southern rock band that has gotten current radio AirPlay.

Wow, why am I always so late to new music? I heard this for the first time on the radio earlier this evening and while coming from someone who is by no means a fan of the bro-country trend I enjoyed this more than I'd like to admit. Maybe it's the inner southern rock fan in me (I liken them to say maybe a modern day Pirates of the Mississippi or Confederate Railroad) but this band has a lot of grit to it. I was a fan of "The South" and although really late to this song it's great. Unfortunately this isn't playing well at radio, but that should't surprise me since I heard this on Austin's NASH Icon-like type of radio station (where they are playing LAW's "The Way I'm Livin'").

Not so fast. "Party Like You" sits at #42 on MB and #44 on Billboard. It's total audience both charts is roughly between 2.4 and 2.8 million and has been charting for 13 weeks. It got 3 adds this week with 100 stations reporting total on the MB panel. With three going recurrent on MB next week (Chase, Miranda/Carrie, Garth), "Party Like You" has an outside shot at cracking the top 40. In the end I expect this to have the same success or close to the same success as "The South" had but radio is not giving this song the cold shoulder. They are a Big Machine promoted artist remember.

Do yourself a favor and check out their song "White Lightning". The lead singer, Jared Johnson is an incredible songwriter. You might also want to check out video of him and Jake Owen singing one of his newly written songs "Mexico In Our Minds". I had a chance to see TC3 open up for Eli Young Band and Jake Owen last week. Great show.

Point taken sabre14 and thanks for the update. Again, whereas I used to be quite the avid chart watcher I really no longer care much for where a song ends up anymore (top 40 or top 10). A song's peak seems be just another notch on the belt for the record labels to advertise and market their artists to the powers that be at corporate radio. I don't listen to satellite radio or your average top 20 playing country radio stations anymore...I mostly listen to a very small market radio station based in Austin that caters to Jones, Waylon, Loretta, Strait, Chesnutt, Jackson, LAW, Willie, and say your "other artists" such as Brothers Osborne and The Cadillac Three.

Great show. *cough*Jaren*cough* White Lightning is, thus far, the only TC3 song I truly like, but I also readily admit that I'm not a southern rock fan, at all. But I can respect their talent, and they're all incredibly nice guys, too.

This will go recurrent on MB tomorrow evening. Its been without a bullet for the past two chart issues and the bottom has officially fallen out on "Party Like You" this week. Its down 200 spins and over 600k in audience since Sunday. The MB peak was #42 and its Billboard peak was #43.

I don't think The Cadillac Three's music is really sustainable on country radio. Their records do yield pretty respectable iTunes sales for a new act, but radio hasn't taken too kindly to the southern rock style of this or "Days of Gold." I don't think Big Machine will let this trio go since they have a unique style that could rack up a decent fan base, but I also don't expect them to ever get a big hit on the charts. I suppose Big Machine will try a single or two more next year to try to get their album out, or maybe they'll just try to release an EP to iTunes.
