The fact she wants to define success by sales numbers and accolades at this stage in her career is just disappointing.

I see what Rico Love was talking about now What did he say? He basically said she kinda pull the plug on Two Eleven and chose to go do The Game. I believe he wanted her to fight for No Such Thing As Too Late as a single. A lot of her fans on her message board calls him bitter at one point I did too. But then again those fans (stans) go up for anything and get overly excited about everything to say the least.

I remember Brandy really pushing for a 3rd single and she basically could not get RCA to fund another single. So I'm not sure if that was her flaking and not wanting to promote, I think she just wasn't going to use her own coin to fund a single when she was on a major that should theoretically do that for her. Does anyone else remember this? I feel like it was an interview with some blog when they were like "We want ___ as a single" and she was like "Me too! I'm really pushing, we'll see what we can get" and the label just never followed through.
I understand his frustration though, his work was amazing on that album and they could have worked it so much harder.

She was fighting with RCA to get a third single released. At one point, they wanted to release LMG while Brandy wanted to go a different route and ultimately, nothing else was released. However, I think that Rico's underlying point is Brandy really lacked the same passion about the project that he did and thus didn't fight as hard as he felt she could've.

"Let Me Go" should have followed "Put It Down".

Child Wildest Dreams was the dumbest decision...it's frustrating supporting her eras. The whole 2 song campaign it's just a mess

It ain't easy being a Brandy fan -- bish makes us wait four years for an album and then the era is done two weeks after the release.

So apparently she's attending the BET Awards. It was announced during a commercial break. I hope this time she actually promote something. (i.e. EP, Zoe Moon, etc.). Just showing up ain't cutting it.

I have a feeling she'll do a number from Chicago or just present an award but she should try and put something out or at least give a date.

I still like alot of her music and I think she performs well but through the years I find her getting more and more obnoxious and attention seeking. However her voice is getting better with age.

That reminds me of when Erykah Badu performed on the streets and no one recognized her.

LOL! I think the best part of the video was seeing what a newbie Brandy is to public transportation. Everything from her jumping out of her skin as the train approached to not realizing there's no cell coverage marks her as a princess.
As far as no one caring/recognizing her, should they have? I mean I'm a huge Brandy fan but when I'm on the subway, I'm daydreaming with my ears covered in my own headphones. That coupled with Brandy's hoodie, sunglasses, backpack, etc. makes for a pretty anonymous act. Pretty sure if I was stood next to her I wouldn't have noticed!
It was cute how she asked the man at the end if he's heard anyone song on the trains before though!

She should've gone on that train all done up without the sunglasses and sang one of her hits. Nobody was going to recognize her like that.

Tyrese pulled the same stunt on a city bus.

I love her and will always love her but there's definitely something slightly obnoxious about the way she presents herself now.

Brandy must've never rode the Metro in NYC before People give ZERO f#cks when it comes to shenanigans like that.

LOL. I love Brandy even more now. I think people forget she is an actress too. Part of that came across like a performance piece. Of course, the dumbasses at the Gothamist reported on this and said she was singing a Whitney Houston song because clearly Stephanie Mills and Whitney Houston are the same person!

I love her and will always love her but there's definitely something slightly obnoxious about the way she presents herself now. I know what you mean, but I still find it endearing somehow. She spent so many years being so meek and mild-mannered, that her extra-ness feels almost earned. She could stand to not put 20 on 10 so often though.
