I wish all the controversy surrounding Iggy would make them drop her from the lead single, but Britney probably has no idea any of that shit is going on.

Our Queen needs to party so we can have another quality music from her.

Why doesn't she work with Danja anymore? Do we know anything about what sonic direction she's going with for this album? All I heard is that she's doing a song with Iggy which...yikes. She hasn't worked with Danja since Circus for a few reasons. He wasn't on Femme Fatale as Max Martin and Dr. Luke took the project by the balls when they assumed the positions of exec producers-- pretty much anyone who wasn't on their payroll was cut from the album. Danja was a part of the writing camp of producers hired to produce whatever the project was ultimately supposed to be when Britney had her own plans. Those just never came to be. As for Britney Jean, she likely didn't have the budget allotted. A lot of sources point to that being the reason for the album's poor quality. Her team didn't see themselves getting a return out of the album, so they didn't pay dirt for it. I imagine Danja, much as he loves her, would still charge a pretty penny though. As for the musical direction for this one, in her own words: "artsy-fartsy". I have no idea what that means to her, either. I think I've heard mention of urban too, but that word's been thrown around about her last three albums and I'm not even sure she or her team knows what it means anymore.

I wouldn't mind a new Danja track at all and especially if it sounds like the classic Gimme More

It's been kind of an inside joke for fans of 'How To Get Away With Murder', of which Shonda is one of the exec producers-- but it's been known for a while among Britney fans.

No, keep him close. Alien was fab.
So tired of the BJ hate. I feel if the album was a smash hit, most stans would be saying how great it was... Well I find it a great album, better than FF which had more single-ready songs. I love Til Its Gone, Body Ache, Alien, Brightest Morning Star, Hold On Tight, Now That I've Found You and Perfume.

Blackout wasn't a smash hit and everyone loved it tho... Britney Jean is just an awkwardly produced album.

I don't see her doing a surprise release honestly but you never know. I guess if this new single is coming out early next year, this will be a Femme Fatale style release. Thats what i thought and said!

I get tired of the Britney Jean hate too. It's certainly not my favorite album from her but there are still some fabulous moments on there! I too love all the songs you mentioned, and I still get very excited and pumped up when I play "Work Bitch." :) I don't see her doing a surprise release honestly but you never know. I don't get all the hate for "Britney Jean" either. I'll be the first to admit that I don't care if a cd is, critically acclaimed, a supposed masterpiece, a theme cd, innovating etc. If I like the songs I like the songs???? I happen to LOVE "Work Bitch" "It Should Be Easy" which I thought sounded like a single. I really didn't care that WillIAm was on the track. I also really liked "Body Ache" and "Till It's Gone" (though it kind of reminded me of "I Wanna Go). "Tik Tik Boom" could have been a little better.I guess all the Tik Tik Booms can be a little repetitive. I still really like it though. I think "Alien" is ok. I don't get the hype behind it. Sometimes I feel like when an artist really likes a song and says it's personal some fans go along with it. I also kind of like "Passenger" even though as of late I'm not usually here for a Britney midtempo/ballad. Though this is a little harder than her other's. "Now That I Found You" is cute and my favorite out of the Bonus tracks. Is this my favorite Britney cd No, But, I like a decent amount of songs from it and I still don't get the hate.

It's called having different opinions.
In my opinion, in the critics' opinion, and in most people's opinion, the album sucks donkey dicks. You may not like that people don't agree with you, but that's not their problem.

We've had this discussion like a billon times.
Some people enjoy the album, most people don't. Not a hard concept to grasp or accept.

You hate Britney Jean. Fine. You love Britney Jean. Fine.
Album 9 will be here and that, too, will come with a love/hate relationship.

All this talk of Crossroads makes me wanna watch it again! Fun movie! I felt like she did a decent job for her first major starring role, especially in the crying scenes. I'd love to see her in another movie someday. :)

She definitely does the best in comedic roles (i.e. Will & Grace and How I Met Your Mother). I would love to see her do a role like that again. I would say a comedic movie, but I haven't seen a major motion picture comedy that was worth anything that's been made in the past ten years.

The only truly good comedies have been borderline dramadies-- because we're a cynical society and I'm buying into that or whatever-- but I could see her doing well with a small role on something written like Wolf of Wallstreet.

Why does the thread title say "NEWS 12.25" - are we getting an announcement of some sorts on Christmas?
