Even if most people question her involvement in Britney Jean, she herself was quite pleased with how the album turned out. However, she was not happy about the lukewarm reception and how it performed in the charts. As she said in the BJ documentary she is a competetive person and she wants to be successful with her music. And that's where the rumour came from that she wants an album full of collabrations with a-list people. That is in fact something that she had in mind and why her team approached Iggy and why the Moroder song is happening. The plans for the album are still in very early stages meaning that loads of songs have been recorded, are still being recorded and that nothing has been put together yet. But with Britney and her team that doesn't mean anything. As soon as they feel it's time they will put together the album and release it. It could be a Q2 release, if the song with Iggy is a huge success and people enjoy the Moroder track, which I'm very positive about.

From what I've been told she gives a big shit.

Also I haven't said that there are no album plans yet... I said early stages! Nothing set in stone, no tracklist, no title, no clear direction, no release date. But an album is happening. I said a while ago that Britney likes the idea of releasing something out of the blue, similar to Beyoncé. If that'll happen the status on the project will be "early stages" until shortly before in order to not spoil anything...

Interesting. Well, I don't see how she could be disappointed by the chart performance of Britney Jean when she only released 2 singles and didn't promote them at all. It's weird how she calls herself a competitive person but she doesn't seem to put in any effort, hopefully this album will give us that driven Britney again. I believe she liked the album, specifically Alien, Work Bitch and Perfume lol.

I have a hard time believing she was that devestated Britney Jean underperformed given her total lack of involvement in promoting it. That doesn't add up.

It's true she's never shown interest, but then again that could be because she was always #1. Maybe now that she was being told she's not doing as well anymore... she wasn't happy.

That could've been more of a label/team promo tactic since it was marketed as "personal" when it... really wasn't. 

Also worth noting that she wasn't exec producer which (as far as I know) shouldn't have been a terribly hard title to attain were she inclined to get it. Only reason I bring that up is there were rumors that her team was trying to put her name on it prior to the album's release. If she wanted it on there, it probably would have been there.

It is possible that she thought the album would be a hit without much promotional effort from her part just like the 3 albums before Britney Jean. I just hope that if she's pissed that it flopped she realizes that she has to promote more rather than playing with her kids all the time.

It Britney cared about BJ, it certainly didn't show in the interviews. It's more like her team is devastated they can't hastily put together an album, throw out some buzzwords (ie. her "Ray of Light", "Blackout 2.0"), and call it a day.

I wouldn't doubt her and Danja did drugs/partied together but I'm pretty sure they did a Circus track together (who knows if it was done before or after the breakdown though).

If they did party together, her and her team might not want him back in her life like that.
