I'm really looking forward to her new single next month. I wonder if they'll allow Georgio Moroder to release also as a single his song with Britney. I thought that was his second single and I thought that by now it would've been out. Maybe it'll coincide with the release of the album which I have no idea when it comes out. Anyway... I'm really looking forward to hearing BOTH songs!! :)

I wonder when the pre-promo for Pretty Girls will begin. It's just a few weeks away so single cover, exlusive reviews and teasers could surface starting next week.

She had several interviews and appearances lined up in and around the time 'Work Bitch' was released, but prior to that we knew nothing about the song. We had a rumored title, a RuPaul tweet, and... not much else until we actually got the song. Same with 'Hold It Against Me' (a demo quietly dropped and that was that) and 'Womanizer' (leaked clip from radio). Her team is known for building anticipation by keeping people in the dark until the last second. |

I heard "Soda Pop" for the first time ever on a Pandora station today and was taken aback by her vocals. Not that they were amazing but they were much more...soulful and bigger than I've ever heard Britney. Just an observation.

Rumor has it that the song she is covering is "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega. It was originally an acapella track before that DNA remix version came out in 1991. So apparently the cover she recorded for Giorgio Moroder's album may actually be "Tom's Diner". This one Britney site is reporting that Giorgio confirmed it to Out Magazine earlier this week and other sites have run with it too. |

I think "Tom's Diner" is a really unique song with a beautiful melody, I'm very interested in Britney's take on it especially with a new, bigger production. Should be really interesting!

I've always loved the song, and I think it's appropriate-- if not intentional-- that (arguably) the most iconic artist of the digital era is covering the first song to be converted to an .mp3 file. This is some cool s**t and I'm loving it. Her take on it is going to be interesting, and I'm not sure how well she'll suit the song, but I'm excited. |

Now that I think about it, the "I am thinking of your voice" line is probably going to fuck me up. I'm hoping she serves 'Breathe On Me' vocals for this. Don't think we've heard her sing so softly since Blackout.

So I decided to youtube Tom's Diner cause I thought I had never heard of it before and I had no idea it was that song I regularly catch on the radio. Not to mention I would have never guessed it was released in late 80s. I hope the rumors are true cause Brit will be perfect on it.
