All posts about the cover were removed from her social media. I don't buy that it was "revealed too early", because it leaked via Shazam anyway and was all over the Internet. Something's up. Hope it doesn't get changed though. The track is available for pre-order on Amazon with the single cover, but there is a change: Iggy isn't credited as a featured act and she shares them with Britney, so I assume that's the reason why all the posts with the artwork were removed yesterday. |

Ok, yeah, tweaking Iggy's name makes more sense. They should have just used a current photo and drawn it on, no? eh, not neccissarily. Even if Rolling Stone owned the rights to the photograph and the imagery, artistic inspiration (traditional artists' version of sampling) wouldn't justify a copyright suit, especially since the imagery is not a direct copy-- as in, they didn't cut and paste her face from the mag onto the cover-- and the products being marketed by the imagery are completely different. It's no different than Warhol using the Marylin Monroe bust. |

It's a sprained/hurt ankle, not cancer, but I'd rather she cancel than put on a half-ass show because she's not 100%. She's had well documented knee related injuries throughout her career. So we want her to half ass dance with a sprained ankle, further extending that injuries recovery time, while at the same time chancing another fall that could irritate that old knee injury? No thanks. I agree, she made the right call. Which is exactly why I said I'd prefer she cancel instead of trying to perform. I didn't pay money to see a less than 100% performance. In other news: I love the new logo and I'm completely on board with releasing a slew of top-notch singles and features to build anticipation for the next album cycle. The last thing her career needs is a sequel to BJ. |
