It just dawned on me how impressive the volume of Britney’s catalog is compared to her peers; she’s approaching her 10th studio album in a 20-year span. Regardless of commercial success, her consistency in the studio (even with all of her personal turmoil) should be commended. It makes me wonder if she really will take a cue from her idol, Madonna, and continue releasing albums periodically for decades more. Yes, Britney Jean and Femme fatale are the only questionable albums in terms of quality and FF still has 5 quality songs. Britney will take influence from Madonna/Janet/Celine/Cher After this 10th album she'll release albums less often maybe every 3-4 years but she will go back and forth from vegas and every now and again doing a 1 month WW tour. As a new legacy act, I think her business card is going to be any new songs she wants to include whether from soundtracks/stand alone singles or albums but people will come for the classics and enjoy new material and cover songs also. |

She needs to stop the voice-Snapchat filters when she’s making singing videos. Nobody thinks she’s Adele, but it makes her look extremely insecure about her own ability God yes. And then fans remove the filter and...just...stop this. |

To anyone who says Britney Spears doesn't have "anything to say anymore", all you have to do is listen to Man on the Moon. That song is so sad, striking, and clearly personal. It hits a serious chord. "Man On the Moon" is so damn endearing. It has a sweetness reminiscent of Baby, yet a maturity only older Britney can convey. She may not have written it, but I don't think any other artist could interpret it as successfully as she does. Songcraft is elusive in today's pop music, but the lyrics and melodic contour of "Man On the Moon" give me hope. Revisiting the underrated-as-hell Glory and still stand by this tbh. |

I still can't believe that Scream and f**king Shout is her most recent top 10. I need her to pull out that Spanish dictionary that she probably got as a gift from All That, and drop some verse on one of like those reggaeton-on-codeine tracks that people seem to be loving.

I have a feeling the 'secret' will be another best-of to celebrate her 20 years with a Max Martin-produced pop masterpiece serving as the only single. The only way I will buy it is if the old songs are all re-recorded and re-imagined as 2018 songs. |
