Seen so many insta stories from her concerts of people just getting their life to her, but everything looks so sad and deeply unimpressive that what I feel like what I'm mostly missing out on are all the fun drugs taken at the pre-parties. I don't think I'll ever not love her music but I rotate between baffled, annoyed, and concerned at what it is she's doing, what her goals/plans are, etc. Does she just hate doing this? Is she forced to? Does she love it but this is all she has to give? Does she think this is good? I have so many questions.
...none of which, of course, really matter, because she has (appropriately) endeared herself to millions and makes more with a yawn than I will in a decade. And if she comes out with another album as good as Glory, then who would I be to complain?

^ I think she's had incredible success being mediocre for the past decade and at this point just doesn't care to try and do better. She obviously just wants to choreograph her own routines, play with her hair, and smile at the audience while she rakes in millions. Not a bad deal for her, if you ask me.
She's been through so much, and the music is still great, so I stay a fan. Well, Glory was great at least.

Does she just hate doing this? Is she forced to? Does she love it but this is all she has to give? Does she think this is good? I have so many questions. It's speculation, but I genuinely do believe that it has to do with her alleged mental diagnosis, her medication, or both. This probably is as much as she can muster, honestly. |

I see how these other stars burn out and how tragically some of their stories end and I am forever grateful that we get Britney how we have her. She conquered her demons. Some days that means we get 10% of the Britney we fell in love with and some days it means we get 75%. I’m great with that.

Pretty funny. Not the best "EW!" skit ever but she looked FLAWLESS and it seemed like she was having fun.
I subjected a friend to "Crossroads" for the first time the other night and it made me appreciate how well she acted in that movie. I'd love for it to be released on Blu-ray with an audio commentary from her, Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning talking about filming the movie, or at least some interviews with them looking back.

She did great and looked super comfortable. Who would imagine we'd hear her live singing Not A Girl in 2018? You just never know when and where she'll strike and that's what I love about her.

No one knows what's going through Britney's head. At the Radio City gig, she was constantly looking at the screens. Maybe she is more subconscience these days about how she looks and/or her performing skills. Maybe some days she's feeling it and others she's not. We also don't know if she's still on any medications, because through the last 5 years, she has gone thru spurts of actually KILLING it on tour to more subpar dates. I'm not saying Britney is infallible, but I'm sure there are a lot of contextual things at work here. So to go to the "OMG Britney must hate performing" is so overdramatic and irrational. Maybe she's just a little bored with this tour, since she's been doing it for 4-5 years now. Is that an excuse for not performing at your maximum? No. But that could be many of the factors. Not to mention that many fans have said that the videos online do not do the show justice whatsoever. Even so, watching a lot of the videos you can see her smiling and having a ton of fun. But she must hate it so much, right? |

About Britney's love for her job... I do think it's a mixture of both a business side, she understand she kind of needs to keep some kind of income coming in to cover her overhead, but she does still love it. Ultimately, I don't think she'd continue if she *hated* the gig. Plus, this time she's touring, which has been years so I bet that takes an extra toll on her. It does make me sad to see some people having bad meet and greet stories lately. I know they are hit or miss, but still for all that money... That's one thing she should ditch if she hates meeting fans.
Also, I though the Jimmy skit was cute - she looked and felt comfortable, gave a freaking acapella line and was calm. Who would've guessed back in 2011-2013 we'd be here now? Wow.

I don’t think Britney hates performing, I just think she’s on autopilot and doesn’t care enough to try and be the best like she used to.
In terms of meet and greets, I think she’s genuinely freaked by adults who are obsessed with her. Anyone under 20 she seems to have a natural smile with, but anyone older than that she thinks is creepy.
I don’t necessarily blame her, but she shouldn’t be charging those prices (or even having them) if she feels that way.

I saw her this past weekend at Brighton Pride (the first time since seeing her play a State Fair in 1998!! - almost twenty years later). It was so funny watching the show and knowing all the moves, costumes, etc from posting on fan sites and messageboards. The crowd was much bigger than expected and I think she ate it up and did a good job although she forgot where she was and had to ask a dancer before she addressed the crowd. I thought I would love Touch of My Hand and Breathe on Me but in the context of the show, they were a little boring. The highlight was definitely the second half leading up to Toxic/Stronger.
It did feel like she was going through the motions though. I don't understand how you can be on stage, see a record breaking crowd giving you so much love and not feel an energy to just kill it! Still love her though...I just have to accept we probably won't get the old school Britney back ever.

OK, yes I know - for years I hated when people self-promoted either reaction videos or covers but I'm now becoming one of those losers lol... Since Britneyworld is slightly dormant until we get this elusive 'Apple Pie', I thought I'd go back in time for a sec..
