Listening to #Blackout #Glory and #InTheZone. Over the past few years I've grown to love the Britney album. It used to be just there in her discography for me but it eventually crawled its way to #2 behind Blackout. #3 is interchangeable between ITZ (because it's timeless) and Circus (cause of the extraordinary amount of diverse bops it has). Glory and Femme Fatale are stellar too but they sound too much of their time. And I don't claim the other 3 aside from the singles + When Your Eyes Say It. |

For me, Glory actually aged pretty well. I used to agree that it sounded too on the pulse to ever mature well, but songs like "Man on the Moon", "Do You Wanna Come Over?", "Slumber Party", "Change Your Mind" (this was and still is a game changer), and "If I'm Dancing" carry an album that's made up of incredibly solid adult pop songs, something P!nk and Bebe Rexha would have us believe was impossible to craft. I have a feeling any music we'll get going forward will be akin to the s**t Cher's putting out these days, but viewing it through the lens of a send-off album there's a lot to (still) love about Glory. Femme Fatale though... yeah, that was always a problem with Dr. Luke and Max, although "Hold It Against Me" still holds up for me.
I'd actually been off her wagon for a while now, and to a point I still am—Blackout and In the Zone are good for nostalgia, but they don't pack the same punch anymore—but she still has an incredible ear when given the right resources. That's hard to deny.

I didn’t even know this happened. It looks like, functionally, nothing has actually changed though. He basically relinquished the role to another woman, her longtime caregiver, but it looks like she was under his employ anyway and he’ll still be making the decisions. At the very least this won’t interfere with custody rights, so she gets to keep the kids, but she’s not exactly free. |

I really wish she would stop with the insta posts pretending everything is fine. Like, I don't want her to do a live and tell us her story or anything but some of the posts she makes are highly awkward in the context of what's happening right now.
I hope the kids are with Kevin and not her father. I gotta wonder what's her mother's role in this whole situation, is she useless or simply powerless against the conservatorship?
This family is messed up.

This family is messed up. The restraining order was filed by Kevin against her father, so Jamie definitely doesn’t have them. I don’t want to speculate on who has them now, but I believe now that Jamie has stepped down Britney should be fine to keep them. Lynne has no legal standing in the conservatorship, she can’t do s**t but like #FreeBritney posts on Instagram. The insta thing could be a matter of compliance, honestly. Her father (by proxy, now) controls her entire estate and can basically withhold basic privileges from her as he deems fit. For all we know the insta posts could be mandated, but that’s going full tinfoil. She’s probably just medicated and on some kumbaya positive energy bulls**t, but if that keeps her grounded then far be it from anyone to judge. They are getting really weird lately, though. Not her usual wine mom weird either. None of us know the whole story, but I just hope things start looking up for her soon. |

I know I used to be tired about people saying she didn’t have sparks in her eyes a few years ago, and all that shit, but her look in those vids and pics is kinda weird scary  Wish her the best, though. Everything feels very  recently, even down to the arm candy capitalizing on their time in the spotlight. Lest we forget K-Fed's tragic "rap" career.  These "interviews" Sam's been doing wouldn't even be happening in the first place if he wasn't Britney's boyfriend. He's just another hollow Instagram fitness model. |

Huge Britney stan here as well, and yeah she doesn't look right. I can't even imagine what her next move is gonna be (life or career-wise), but I absolutely just wish her the best and hope she finds happiness doing whatever it is.

It looks like the B-Side party on Spotify is over. It was great while it lasted. Maybe it was an experiment by RCA to see if they could squeeze some money out of fans by releasing a B-Sides / Remixes collection while Brinny is on this hiatus.
That would be giving them way too much credit though.

Her peers who were nowhere as successful as her were able to control their direction and call shots. I've always thought that maybe it's because she was signed so young but even still, there's no reason why Britney shouldn't have had 90% say so in her career and direction as time went on. If the label was going to be rigid, then it should have been her TEAM's responsibility to leverage her power but it appears that her team was too closely tied to the label. The label might have feared some loss of sales/momentum and that might have very well happened, but in the longterm/bigger picture it would have been best for everyone involved. Especially Britney. |

I’ll never forget the photographer who shot some of the Onyx promos who said that she was so over worked on set and that nobody in her team paid attention or cared about what she wanted. Britney never had anyone in her corner. Not her label, not her team, and especially not the media. I’ll never get over it as a fan. |
