I’d say 0 and it’ll probably remain that way for a long time. I feel like it will take a long time for them to begin recognizing the impact of pop singers on pop music.

I feel like that's been changing recently though, Madonna, Janet and Whitney I believe have all been inducted.

Although I see your point that if Mary and Mariah haven't been inducted it could be said Britney will also be left out. Still, it would be weird to see other artists who have been influenced by her getting in without her being in the Hall of Fame first. She makes the case for a lot of the pop female artists post 2000's.

I’d say the key thing is post-2000s. Madonna, Whitney and Janet are predominately 80s artists and the purists that be are only recently opening up to 90s pop music having legitimacy. I think even Mariah receiving recognition from them would send shock waves. Hopefully though!

Womanizer hitting #1 was what got me into chart watching. I remember being absolutely flabbergasted when I read that this was her first #1 since BOMT and wanted to find out why that was the case since many of her songs before Womanizer had felt so massive.

I gotta be honest. I'm happy she's out of the conservatorship, but it's clear that she's got a lot of issues she needs to work through and I'm not sure she's getting the help she needs right now. The way some people have become enablers of some of her questionable behaviour just because she went through a lot is not going to be ultimately good for her in the long run. I still love her and wish her the best, and this goes much further and deeper than some stupid IG captions.

For starters, I don't think she was talking about Selena Gomez. That's something people ran with, and she probably edited it because people thought it was. I don't know who that person is, but she's been very upfront about who she does and doesn't like and I highly doubt she has any animosity toward someone at her wedding.

I do agree that if she's not getting the help she needs, whatever it is, then that's a problem. I'd also agree that a lot of her stans are probably enabling her, but Britney is such an unusual case. In a lot of ways she is owed grace for her uniquely awful position, and to say anything to the contrary gives a lot of people who want to ride the "she's crazy" train more ammo. The catch-22 is that she also needs to be aware of the consequences of her behavior, although I imagine a lot of this is just trial and error (for the whatever-teenth time, she's essentially a toddler when it comes to social media literacy). She's been open about how mentally exhausted she is and how much her PTSD affects her, though, and that alone justifies the need for her to find someone to help her learn how to help herself. You don't need to read into her Instagram to know that.
