so, on a brighter note. she has a song coming on the 21th of july....she is a feat. on another artist's song....yay for the song, not so sure about the artist itself... Obs: i have not heard the song, so it may be one of those cases where a sample is so heavily featured that the original artist ends up being credited. Drake? Ew. |

The first artist that came up in my head was The Weeknd - maybe it's a leftover song from The Idol? But I guess it's going to be a random DJ or rapper with her song heavily sampled / interpolated. I'm excited, anyways. |

I'm curious now, what causes the sample/interpolation to need to be featured? Is it if the artist is a writer on the track, or is it that their vocal needs to be present? When I think of interpolation I tend to think of 'Without Me' / 'Cry Me A River' instead of a sample -- like 'Super Freaky Girl' / 'Super Freak', both are credited on the song, but fall short of being 'features'. I'm curious to hear the song if she's present enough to get a feature credit. |

As I suspected, just watch the video and you can dispel any notion that she “hit herself.” Just because it may have been her own hand doesn’t mean it wasn’t unnecessarily and forcefully knocked in the air. I guess we should feel lucky she wasn’t carrying an umbrella or the AP would have turned this into a full on “Britney attacks NBA star” story. |

It’s 2023 and some of y’all are showing you haven’t learned anything.
A famous person was tapped on the shoulder to ask for a picture. Instead of shielding the person or merely blocking the person with a hand, the security guard chose to use force and swat the hand away, thereby accepting the risk that something could happen. The security guard is clearly in the wrong and while criminal charges may not be appropriate, an apology certainly is.
For what it’s worth, the player also seems like a complete douchebag. Smiling it off and lying about being grabbed when we have literal proof that it was a simple tap.

Calling someone crazy is not it.
Calling someone a liar when their entire statement (“I approached him, it was loud, I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention and his security backhanded me”) was factually true and can be backed up by videos, is malicious.

The obsession with Britney’s mental health just isn’t appropriate at this point in time. No one is going to be ‘healthy’ or ‘ok’ after 13 years of being trafficked, abused, stolen from, and essentially imprisoned in a mental facility for the better part of a year. It’s probably going to take her the better part of 5 years to get over that, and maybe not even then. There is nothing anyone can do to bring her back from that and make her the person she was prior to that trauma. She’s not going to be a-ok, again any time soon and that’s going to have to be alright.
From what we know of her life she doesn’t have many support systems; her family, her kids, her ex-husband are all against her, along with various segments of the media (e.g., TMZ). Whenever she goes outside and makes an appearance she winds up having to deal with insane shit like this. All of which may set her back, or may get her to regress to hopefully get her to a healthier state. I certainly hope so, but it’s not going to be a linear journey. Stop expecting it to be.
This Wembly situation was just another example of a bad thing that happened to her. I will say the silver lining here is that most of the public seems like they are on her side. I’m mostly seeing a 60/70 split in her favor here. Even with overzealous sports fans in the mix. It helps that Wembly flopped his first major televised performance out as well. The memes clowning him were legit chuckle worthy.
On a different note the new song is now rumored to be with Will.I.Am so I could see her laying down new vocals for him.
