I don’t know if I like “Circus” better than “Womanizer” now, but back in the day I wasn’t really into it.
I actually was most into “Kill The Lights and Shattered Glass” back then. I think parts of both songs reminded me of the “Blackout” era most which I adored.
I was never into “Unusual You”. I like it more now then back then though.
I was always into “Blur”.
As a whole I didn’t listen to this album as much as some of her previous projects.
Actually I never really listened to her first 2 albums much. Just some of the singles.
However “In The Zone and Blackout” were on constant replay for me.
“Britney” also had some of my favorite Britney jams on there.
“Lonely” was an obsession of mine along with the singles from that era. Excluding “I’m Not A Girl….”

Seeing footage like this kills me. The most sweetest and genuine person. She deserved so much better and I’ll never get over it.

So many things come to mind in watching that footage. She always wanted to do some kind of tour documentary; you can sort of see this was a seed right before the Chaotic era.

I wonder what the Britney era would have been had radio been behind her. She was still a force commercially, even when CHR wasn't playing her. Can only imagine what her total would have been like if she had support.

^Yes he also worked with her then too, along with Wade Robson. Friedman also choreographed MATM and Toxic and worked on the Onyx Hotel Tour. Teresa Espinosa choreographed the video for Outrageous.

If this is accurate, Britney was placed under the conservatorship a little over a year after shaving her head? What is this comment about rehab facility in the Caribbean before the head shaving?

I know I'm about to be TRASHED and my stan card removed but... She seems to be on a manic episode. I wish she still has a psychiatrist that is treating her. The look on her eyes are "off" and if you've ever seen a bipolar person while on a manic episode you will see what I mean.

Her eyes are SHINING and her smile is off the charts.

And before y'all drag me to hell I do not mean "crazy" or anything like that i'm no psychiatrist but I have some experience with psychiatric emergencies (being a ER doctor) so those eyes and smile give me a bad feeling something is off.

Idk what people expected from Britney being freed but 100% mentally sane with no trauma wasn’t it for me. She came out worse from the cship than she was going in. 13 years of abuse caused irreparable damage. It’s going to take a long time for her to heal from this. What I wish she would do is get off the internet completely because it does her mental health no favours.

I don’t even blame her if she’s not seeking psychiatric care. Whether or not she needs it is none of our business, but the mental healthcare system failed her miserably. That she’s in therapy is a miracle on its own. If she needs it, then I do hope she gets it eventually, but that’s on her to do.

You do realize Therapy isn't enough to treat a bipolar person, right?. Mood stabilizers are always the first line of treatment alongside therapy. Therapy alone is never the correct way to deal with this. Based on what I've seen, which may not be enought i admit, Britney is (sorry for the word) textbook Bipolar Disorder Type 1. Which is waaay harder to treat right than Type 2 (or even the ciclic type).

Type 1 BPD is someone who is almost always on its hipomaniac/manic episode and rarely goes down to a depressive episode. Type 1 patients are waaay harder to treat right because most of them don't like the mood stabilizers.

They claim they make them less "happy", it makes them feel "numb", it takes their emotions down two/three steps down. And they even claim it makes them "robotic", "sedated" (sounds familiar?). Who wants to take meds that take away all those "good" feelings right?

Which is why the patients NEEDS to acknowledge and recognice they have it. Mood stabilizers are the backbone of the treatment, wheter you believe it or not, Lithium is indeed the first line of treatment of any Bipolar Disorder. I do get why Britney hates it (see above) she needs a good line of support that helps her take the best decisions in life.

Yes, the C-ship MADE her take those meds WITHOUT even trying to explain how or why she should take them. They made her do it against her will instead of helping her cope with it, learn about it and recognize it's not OK to feel like that all of the time. Which is the #1 reason she doesnt want to take Lithium.

And out of ALLL the wrong things they did under that cship. Forcing her to take meds without trying to explain why she needed them is the WORST crime they did under that regime. I seriously hope she and whoever is supporting her find her true happiness and self recognition.

Therapy alone is not the answer.

I am a huge fan and want her to be ok, but my medical knowledge makes me realize something's not right. :(

Social media is a cesspool we all wade through so I agree that unplugging would be best for her mental health but I also remember that she is in therapy and that’s better than nothing. Also, every single time I see her post anything, I think about enduring 13 years of abuse/neglect/censorship/trauma, etc. and agree that I, too, would probably be online doing and saying whatever whenever however and telling people to kiss my ass every other day with no fucks given about how I’m coming across. I get it.

Yes. I said that if she needed psychiatric care, then I hope she gets it. I’m familiar with how this works and the distinction between BD1 and 2. Making goofy dancing videos and having “crazy eyes” is not enough to tell us anything, let alone if she has BD1. If she was talking about crazy shit like ethnic cleaning (see: Kanye West), then you’d have a case. Persons with BD1 are definitely not “almost never depressed” either. BD, generally, has a 40% attempted suicide rate for a reason. Manic episodes are just as likely to lead to hospitalization and medical intervention as associated depressive episodes.

Why I’m not talking about BD1 is because it’s not our place to speculate, rather it’s clear something is going on and I hope she gets whatever help she needs. Be that therapy or psychiatric help. For all we know, this could be Borderline, PTSD, or any number of complications. Instagram is not sufficient enough for anyone, especially those who are not psychiatrists, to be making diagnoses.

None of that has to do with the point I was making though. I’m saying the fact that she is in therapy means she hasn’t lost faith in the mental health system entirely. That’s good news if it’s determined that she does need psychiatric intervention and her therapist will likely assist in helping her find it.

I know Oprah isn't everyone's first choice, but I really think she will be able to coax some real answers out of her. It's been so many years since Brit did an interview without every answer being "cool."
