^No, you are not. ITZ was at 3.853 million with SPS in January 2022.
An error by Jive/RCA Records.

I'm glad everyone brought out their calculators on the In The Zone certification, as that passed 3 million sold a while ago, like a year or two after it left the charts in 2004.
It's sort of crazy how even when she gets updated certifications she is still under certified.
Blackout sold a million a few years after its release. I want to say by the time 2009/2010 came around it had passed a million copies in physicals.
I feel like OIDIA and Britney are also under certified.

The Brazilian version is so pretty!
{Spoiler} I've seen people saying that Britney mentions her time in Brazil in the book... can't wait to read it! (Hopefully is something positive lol)

Things that I'd like to say about the book 15 chapters in: {Spoiler} 1. Loving the shoutouts to Mariah and Paula Cole.
2. Despite the recent articles about the book excerpts, my dislike for JT is still GROWING.
3. I can identify with her so much when she talks about her social anxiety. And also when she talks about not being able to break character when she was acting. I feel something similar if I get way too involved in binging some television shows, so I have to be careful what I watch.

My book arrived...greasy, LOL. Shoutout to the Amazon person who packaged it while eating lunch. That aside: 1. Kinda annoying that, with all the photos Britney has, she went with the same performance photo (albeit a great one) for both the front and inside back covers. 2. The cover of the actual book is simple black with no titles and an etched pink rose in the center. Very pretty 3. Thank God there are no pictures taking up space in the book, given how widely spaced the lines are, as well as the amount of blank space throughout the book.
As soon as I get home and walk/feed my dog, I'mma smoke, light a candle, and tuck into this book.

Maddie on Twitter writes:
"I did this! I worked on the certifications for the last 5 months. There were SO. MANY. One of my proudest moments in my career so far.
In The Zone is just under the 4M mark based on the software RIAA uses. We are monitoring it 1000%. I'll submit it the minute it crosses the threshold which could be any day now.
I know it might seem crazy that her top selling albums aren’t eligible yet but the industry isn't shipping millions of CDs anymore in the post 2004 era when they were last certified and now rely on TEA-SEA to get to higher levels."

I really enjoyed the book. Her ghost writer/editor really nailed it and it flows really well.
I was a little sad that there's not a lot of focus on the music industry, but I do understand they had to address bigger fishes (conservatorship). I'm shocked at how much she references Justin's relationship as such a turning point and traumatic event. I was sad there was no insight on Britney Jean other than her saying "Work Bitch" is the only thing she likes from those recordings.
All mentions of the children are painful because we know they're not on the best of terms right now. Same for the couple times she mentions Sam Asghari.
Overall, the most shocking revelations are the ones already out there, but I still thought it was a great read and I'm glad she was able to get this out there because it probably felt good and cathartic to her.
Wish her all the best even if music is never her focus again.

Finished with the book: {Spoiler} -The only really new thing it's nice to find out for sure about was what brought about the cship; Jamie owing 40k to Tri-Star, that Rosengart identified as the "Conflict of Interest."
- glad she mentions Fe and her her father lying to her saying she didn't want to be around. Hope she reconnects with her.
- R.I.P. Lynne's pant suits, Lou and Robin.
- Still don't completely understand why Kevin turned on her right before the divorce, I don't think she still fully understands.
- Cannot believe she doesn't address the Britney Jean issues.
- It's insane she found out about the bug planted in her house after the fact.
- LOL at her walking right past cameras during the Vegas show announcement. We were witnessing her fight for freedom first hand.
- Ugh I cannot believe how horrible her family was/is. No one deserves what she went through. There are no words to describe how evil they are.
- I started crying like a FUCKING BABY during the chapter she thanks her fans and #FreeBritney and talks about the nurse that showed her the footage while she was in the mental health facility. And how she knew that we knew something was wrong.
- Cried again when she started talking about the court testimony.
And in spite of some of the angry insta rants, I'm so glad she really does seem to still love her fans. Also glad that she doesn't take future career moves completely off the table. Love hearing her describe her creative process for Hold Me Closer. It's been YEARS since we've heard anything like that from her.
I'm so proud of her. I'm so glad she's free from her abuse and that she's able to tell her own story. We love you Brit.

Just finished reading the book.
As a devoted fan, I approached Britney's memoir with high expectations, and it didn't disappoint. In her own words, Britney shines as a relatable and likable figure. It's a testament to her authenticity that even non-fans will find themselves drawn into her world.
Britney's (and ghost writer) narrative is as clear as crystal, leaving no room for doubt or misinterpretation. Her story unfolds with the precision of a finely tuned melody, ensuring that her experiences are shared exactly as she intended.
In this memoir, Britney meticulously shares fact after fact, thoughtfully adding her personal insights and emotions. It's as though you're flipping through the pages of her life, gaining a deeper connection with her experiences and emotions.
Britney's wit and humor, masterfully laced throughout the book, offer a refreshing and humanizing touch to her story. These moments of levity never detract from the genuine horror and struggles she has faced.
In summary, Britney's memoir is a true gift to her fans and a captivating journey for all readers. Her ability to connect on a personal level shines through every page, making it a must-read for anyone curious about the real Britney Spears. As a devoted fan, I can't help but applaud this heartfelt and genuine account of her life.

Before I attempt this book, is there anything else in there that is factually refutable? I've already read about the 2003 VMA's kiss scenario, where it's claimed that was a last minute decision to do that, but as per rehearsal footage, it shows the kiss was rehearsed unlike the air-kissing that was wrote about. Anything else? I'm not intending to call this book a bunch of lies, i'm sure it's not, but if you're going to write something as facts, then it should be, well, facts. And before anyone freaks out, a performance may be seemingly trivial, but if you can't even remember that iconic moment accurately, it makes me wonder what else is not entirely true.

I don't feel like the two necessarily refutes each other. They probably rehearsed several different times and probably went back and forth a few times on whether or not to actually do it. But they wouldn't have been rehearsing air-kissing to begin with if they weren't going to do it. The rehearsal footage we got of that is probably like the last time they rehearsed it. I feel like "last minute" is used as a relevant term.

This is a really good book. It really does feel like your popping into her mind at any point in her life, and reliving her experiences as she experienced them.
The Kevin and Justin bits are funny in that they aren’t intended to be shady, but are humorous none the less.
This is a very dark book overall though. So short too.

I'm halfway through the book, and justice for Blackout! It's so nice to hear her talk about it as such a positive recording experience and one of her most fulfilling albums creatively.

Except it is stated that, they only ever rehearsed it with air kisses and that two minutes before the actual performance is when Britney decided to do the kiss, lol. So, not a true recollection of that event. But anyways.

I am amazed this woman is still alive and I have even more respect for her as a person and an artist. Despite how dark nearly all of it is, I laughed at a few points and appreciated her commentary on her own experiences. I feel like this was a true collaboration between her and her ghost writers, there's just too much of her personal flare for it not to be. {Spoiler}The person the book made me loathe way more than expected was her mother. It's been known that her dad and Jamie Lynn are trash for a while now, but her mother was just as bad in her own way. The fact that Britney BOUGHT HER A HOUSE to help her get settled in being divorced and she WENT BACK to her ex-husband once the Britney cash faucet was raining on him is just . Not to mention the book tour months after Britney was put under the conservatorship. Sidenote: I lol'd when she went full Southern and said "Bless his heart" when describing K-Fed's attempt to become a rapper. EDIT: Lastly, I love her owning her sexuality and stating for the record that she's been having sex since 14 despite managerial and label attempts to paint her as virginal for her first few album cycles.

It's wild to see how she talks about things and look back on them. She clearly hates Britney Jean and it's obvious that the vocal shenanigans were likely connected to her being so incredibly meh about the whole project (not purposely on her end though), and how much she clearly loves Glory.
I too was hoping for more from the BJ part, but I think we can read between the lines. She talks in that section about how she basically lost all motivation for recording and I think it clearly shows that she was the total opposite of connected to that album and could've cared less about it at the time. I think that's why we got what we got.
Also crazy to see how she talks about getting that spark back during Vegas, since we all witnessed it and noticed it too. Even stuff like the hair talk - people would also complain about her having her hair up during the show, but it seems maybe also something as little as that was apart of her trying to take a stand, since she said she was expected to be beautiful and always have her hair down and moving. Simple things she tried to give us hints.
The Make Me video fiasco also seems clear at this point that her team was the reason the original got scrapped, since she talked about how the "videos" plural were great to make.
I assume Lutfi was not spoken about because of legal reasons, though I was surprised the Adnan was brought up as much as he was. As a selfish fan, I would've loved for her to go deeper into that whole era, but I imagine it was hard to dredge things back up. Even her talking about how much she hated The X Factor, too, which was not surprising in hindsight.
It's truly disturbing though, as she goes into detail about the constant mental health facility/rehab trips. These people really should all be locked up, it's so sad. Everytime she spoke about her "little heart" and how much it could take, my own heart broke for her. She's so incredibly strong.

Wow! Blackout 2x platinum! That one must be getting nice streams. I think it only juuuuust scanned a million copies. Glad to see ITZ get its 3x cert, too. Circus too; it's only scanned ~1.8M I believe. Was hoping for Gold for Britney Jean and Glory, but their streams are not that great so I guess it's a bit of a stretch. I'm glad everyone brought out their calculators on the In The Zone certification, as that passed 3 million sold a while ago, like a year or two after it left the charts in 2004.
