That's...not bad? Same old story with her, but with a worthy team and some training she probably could have been a pretty decent actress. She's not Rachel McAdams, but she could have filled that void after Rachel dipped in the wake of movie superstardom.

That's...not bad? Same old story with her, but with a worthy team and some training she probably could have been a pretty decent actress. I was thinking the same, it's clear why Rachel won it, she has much stronger gravitas and dramatic chops. Those auditions are always awkward with the long pauses between reads, but even with that there is something there. Her mannerisms, and overall style remind me a lot of a young Reese Witherspoon, Brittany Murphy, Anne Hathaway type of deal. She has a romantic style that could have done well in romantic dramas. I always thought her brief appearances in Will & Grace and How I Met Your Mother showed that she had a bit of flair for comedy too. Her narration is amazing. Sad we won't hear it for very long, but that's the most commanding and powerful she has sounded in ages. |

Do we know how much of the narration is her vs Michelle Williams. I am only getting the hardcopy because, as much as I love Michelle, I don't really want to hear her narrate someone else's story, especially when that story is Britney's.

It was cute seeing “Crossroads” on the big screen last night. There are two “sing-along” videos (INAGNYAW & Overprotected) that are missing the lead vocals but still have the backgrounds and my showing had people actually participating and singing along. :kii:
Other than that, there are a few promos for the new merch and soundtrack before the movie starts. The most notable change is the lack of Paramount Pictures logo at the beginning of the film. It now starts with Sony Music and RCA logos then into the MTV Films logo that’s been there. The first few title cards were changed to scrub Paramount’s involvement and add Sony/RCA so it indeed looks like they now have the rights to the film. Hopefully this leads to a blu-ray release at some point, either through Sony Pictures directly or licensed to Shout Factory or another boutique label.

I know I'll sound like a jerk here, but I'm a bit disappointed in Britney's reading of the intro. In the sense that I cannot for the life of me understand why she is still using that baby voice. It is not her natural voice. It's frustrating to hear her continue to use it, I just don't get it. I get reading this was emotional, so I'm not trying to be heartless, and I know this is something stupid to be upset about. It just confuses me why she's still doing it.

You're looking at the list that only includes digital certs for 'solo' singles. It doesn't include the Platinum cert for "From the Bottom..." since it was certified as a physical single and hasn't been updated in the digital era or the Gold cert for the song with Iggy Azalea since it's credited as a true duet. Really she should be at 61.5 million because "Scream & Shout" is certified 3x platinum, but Britney isn't credited at all by the RIAA for that one. |

Yep! I'm surprised In The Zone isn't at least 4x Platinum with the update... i remember it being super close to 3 million in sales by the end of 2004 (maybe I'm wrong?)
