I was never much of a John Michael Montgomery fan (even though I own almost all of his releases), but my aunt was a huge JMM fan and went to Fan Fair (it'll always be that to me) every year just for him. She would always have his music playing in her car so I heard lots of his music growing up. My first JMM concert was when he was opening for Kenny Rogers (probably late 1992 or early 1993) in Omaha, NE. I believe the next time I saw JMM was opening for Reba in 1995; following that I've seen him on George's Country Music Festival tours; finally I got to meet him at a meet & greet when a bunch of performers got together for a concert to the troops in Fort Hood, TX. He was about as shy and quiet as I would expect!
Top 1. Cool (didn't chart unfortunately but still my favorite of his) 2. The Little Girl 3. Letters From Home 4. Home To You 5. Life's a Dance
Any song of his I dislike is mainly because they are overplayed: 1. I Swear and I Can Love You Like That (I lump this two together because I can't distinguish a difference between them) 2. Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident) 3. I Love the Way You Love Me 4. Cowboy Love 5. Hello L-O-V-E
Favorite Album Tracks: 1. Cloud 8 (from What I Do the Best) 2. I Love It All (from Brand New Me) 3. That's Not Her Picture (from Brand New Me) 4. Brand New Me 5. Holding onto Something (later a #6 hit for Jeff Carson)
