Limes sounds like a big hit to me, and it has that vintage Brad Paisley sound. I really like that one and hope it's the 3rd single.

Being a huge college football fan, I definitely am a sucker for the lyrics in "Country Nation". I think Arista has some decisions to make when it comes to the third and fourth singles. I could make an argument for "High Life", "Limes", "Crushin' It", "Moonshine In The Trunk" or "Country Nation". The first three have to be leading candidates.
This album isn't as good as Mud On The Tires, Time Well Wasted or 5th Gear, but it's pretty hard to duplicate those and I knew he likely wouldn't. Wheelhouse I wasn't a huge fan of but I appreciated the risk Brad took and stepping outside his comfort zone. That being said, Moonshine In The Trunk though is reminiscent of the reason I loved Brad's music from the start.

Brad has been one of my favorite country artists for awhile now, so naturally I was very excited for Moonshine In The Trunk especially after the very underwhelming Wheelhouse.
Love 1. "Crushin' It" (clever lyrics, fun catchy beat) 4. "High Life" (Favorite song off the album, hilarious)
Like 2. "River Bank" (Solid summer song, a bit overproduced, got tired of it) 3. "Perfect Storm" (Interesting production, good second single) 5. "Moonshine in the Trunk" (fun and upbeat) 7. "Limes" (clever metaphor, doesn't reach its full potential melody-wise) 8. "You Shouldn't Have To" (Like this more than I should, Brad's rapping works for me) 11. "Gone Green" (Funny and great picking) 14. "Country Nation" (Like the football references, a tad cliché) 15. "Me And Jesus" (Solid lyrics, this one's growing on me)
So-So 6. "Shattered Glass" (Love the message, poor execution, kinda cheesy lyrics, a bit boring) 10. "Cover Girl" (Not much we haven't heard before) 13. "American Flag On The Moon" (I want to like this, but it's a bit too on the nose for me)
Dislike 9. "4WP" (Nothing here for me)
Overall, I'm pleased with the album. Definitely a return to form for Brad. 3.5/5
Single Predictions 3. "High Life" 4. "Crushin' It" If 5. "Country Nation"

He's gonna need some hit singles to sell well. HITS and Billboard expect this album to debut with around 50k is all. This Is Country Music sold 153,000 in its opening week and Wheelhouse managed to sell about 102,000 its first week out, so he's really been seeing big declines album-to-album.

Yeppers. #1 country CD and #2 top 200 CD with 53,000 sold. Another #2 peaker on the top 200 chart for Brad Paisley!

Love this CD.
The sticker on the front says "including hits: River Bank, Perfect Storm, Crushin' It, Country Nation."
Those, to me, seem like they could be likely singles.
One of the very few albums I can listen cover-to-cover with no skips.
I love High Life as well as you guys, but not sure it's radio-friendly considering how traditionally structured it is.

It's incredible. Brad really redeemed himself with this. I can't go a couple days without playing it at least once in the car. It's his best CD in nearly a decade, by far!

I was listening to "High Life", and couldn't help wondering if Brad is doing a toungue-in-cheek dig on Carrie Underwood here:
I heard a song a couple months ago It was Carrie Underwood on the radio Reminded me of a poem my brother wrote Back in second grade
Is that meant to imply something to the effect that Carrie Underwood's lyrics could be written by a second grader? Just curious - I know in the "Crushin It" video there is a lot of satire on other country stars.

I've never listened to the album, but I'd find it hard to believe that it's a dig on her, considering not only are the two good friends, but she herself actually sings on the track.

I'm not 100% sure if you know the background behind "High Life", but in 2013 Brad and the other songwriters of the song "Remind Me" (which was a duet with Carrie) got sued by a woman claiming that they stole the idea for the song from her. "High Life" was one big tongue-in-cheek dig at the woman who sued them. I think that Carrie was used by Brad as the target of the song because she was his duet partner on "Remind Me".

Just curious - I know in the "Crushin It" video there is a lot of satire on other country stars. This is definitely NOT the case, lol. This is Brad and Carrie teaming up and making a dig at the woman who filed a lawsuit against them and the writers of "Remind Me". A woman filed a lawsuit in May 2013, claiming that "Remind Me" was stolen from her. Brad and Carrie have both laughed it off (as they should--the lawsuit is ridiculous), and "High Life" is their musical response to the woman who filed the suit. Here's a Taste of Country article that explains "High Life" a bit: tasteofcountry.com/brad-paisley-high-life-carrie-underwood/So, the lyrics you typed above are not sung from Brad's perspective, but from the perspective of the woman that sued them. Brad is making fun of that woman, not Carrie :) Welcome to Pulse, by the way!
