I heard a lot of the songs on alternative radio with strong crossover potential. Which of these do you think will be crossover pop hits?

Well, I don't think any of these is the next Radioactive, but here's what I think:
1. Riptide (this song seems most likley, and seems very possible in my opinion) 2. Take Me To Chruch (same as Stolen Dance, but I see this having a slightly better chance) 3. Stolen Dance (it's got a decent chance, but I see this as a very minor pop hit) 4. I Wanna Get Better (this song screams bubbling under to me) Dangerous (this could either be a huge hit, or a flop, idk where to rank this to be honest)

"Stolen Dance" since "Waves" is getting better updates.

I totally would have pegged (and probably did in writing) "I Wanna Get Better" as an easy summer pop hit, but it's out of the top fifty again and just doesn't seem to be clicking, which disappoints me. "Riptide" seems like the most obvious crossover hit of the bunch, with "Stolen Dance" second (I don't know if it's just because it burned quickly for me, but I have trepidation about the vocals being a turnoff for some). I haven't listened to "Take Me To Church" enough yet, but it seems to be getting a good response from what I've seen related to HAC radio, and the stats (Shazam and the like) look good. I like "Dangerous," but I'm not too confident about it reaching higher than the mid-twenties or so, unless it gets some more TV syncs or something (but then again, I was blindsided when I wasn't paying attention to the alt chart and suddenly it was #1).
Along with these, Bad Suns's "Cardiac Arrest" sounds pretty crossover-friendly to me (also, their album is pretty good!), and after hearing George Ezra's "Budapest" on SiriusXM, that one feels like a good crossover choice too. (Dirty Heads's "My Sweet Summer" is the next alt-to-HAC potential crossover with an adds date, but I think I've only heard that once; I remember thinking it was fairly poppy, though.) I have been confident on Young Rising Sons's "High" for months and would almost bet money on it blowing up. Once it moves up on alt, I expect an HAC run for Fitz & The Tantrums's "Fools Gold" too. Also, if we want to dig back through last year's hits, I'd be down for Boy & Bear's "Southern Sun" to make a move over to HAC. why did I write so much for a poll.

Dangerous and Take Me to Church. The rest can flop.

Such a bummer about Bleachers not crossing over.

I wanted it to be Bleachers, but what's over is over. Now "Take Me to Church" neeeeds to smash.

"Stolen Dance," "Riptide," and "Take Me To Church" are starting to connect to the GP. The iTunes sales indicate it. So, these are the top contenders, IMO.
As for the other two songs, "Dangerous" is showing stronger legs on radio than "I Wanna Get Better." Not to mention, the latter is already fizzling out.
I agree about "Budapest" and think it has better potential here than "Riptide".
"Cardiac Arrest" I would say is very pop-friendly, but if it didn't go Top 10 on alt, then I don't see much potential on pop.
"My Sweet Summer" is a wild-card. While it has the same reggae-rock vibe as "Rude," it's also a seasonal hit, and it's too late for it to become an end-of-summer anthem like "Summertime Sadness".

"Riptide" - A sure thing. "Take Me To Church" - The lyrics are somewhat controversial, but it's been bubbling under for a minute and it's the best of the non-Vance Joy songs listed here. A "Pumped Up Kicks" situation is a longshot, but not impossible. I'd be surprised if this missed the Top 20 at CHR. Top 10 at Hot AC for sure. "Stolen Dance" - Probably. I could see this peaking in the 8-13 range at CHR, Top 10 at Hot AC for sure. "Dangerous" - I actually find this better than Milky Chance, but I have a hard time imagining it on CHR. "I Wanna Get Better" - Agree that if this was going to happen, it would have by now.
Of the others mentioned...
"Cardiac Arrest" - Agree that it needed a stronger Alternative pedigree to cross over. Great song, though. "My Sweet Summer" - Again, agree with the above comment that timing isn't working out, although it fits pop to a tee. "Fools Gold" - Pop doesn't seem interested in them. I'm still baffled that "Out Of My League" wasn't a bigger HAC hit/a CHR hit at all.

I'd say "Riptide" has the best shot out of these, followed by "Stolen Dance". "I Wanna Get Better" sounded like a crossover hit to me, but I think its time has passed. The others in the poll feel like long shots, though I do think "My Sweet Summer" has some crossover potential. But unfortunately, I think the recent surge of Alternative crossovers has faded.

Even if it has faded, I just hope we're not going back to the era of one "Animal"/"Pumped Up Kicks" a year.
