Surprised no one is talking about the album release this week. Loving the album - Funeral, Symphonies and What They Say are top notch. I can see Symphonies being a big hit for Clean Bandit and her.

AllMusic gives the album 4/5 stars: Rihanna is ALL OVER this album. It's everything a pop album should sound like in 2017, but that's the problem with it -- It's going to sound dated when all of the trends incorporated into these songs end. She has a lot of growing to do, but she has loads of potential. I'd like to hear what her voice and music sound like in about 5 years or so.

I just heard "Sexy Body" by Pitbul....... Samples "I Would Like" Now that's some shameless sampling... A popular song that isn't even 6 months old.

But still, most people who hear this will instantly think of IWL.

LOVE Sundown, Don't Let Me Be Yours and Symphony. I like So Good but I can't see why they would choose that as a single instead of Sundown, which sounds like a song of the summer contender.

Let's not hope this album is political commentary.

I have purchased all of her singles so her full release was dirt cheap so I ended up getting it on ITunes. I would have purchased at least another 3-4 of them anyways. It's a pretty good cd. I love "Sundown" like another poster said it would make a good summer single. I like TG4M. It has the light tropical sound that's on it's way out but it's still really good. I would really like "Funeral". It's a decent dance track. However I don't care for the drop in the chorus. It slows down the track each chorus. "Don't Let Me Be Yours" is a cute track. The music production during the chorus is popular now. I don't dislike any of the tracks and really liked all the presingles even if I got tired of one or two of them very quickly. Good Cd!!

I've loved all of her singles so far, but gotta say I was pretty disappointed with this on first listen. All solid pop songs, but nothing stood out to me aside from the five singles. Hopefully it grows on me more because I was really looking forward to this :(

The album is really amazing! Haven't listened enough to have favourites. Sundown would be a contender if it wasn't for these little WizKid-influenced parts like in the beginning (his rap is decent). Am I the only one who finds it kind of funny that literally half of the album is singles?

I know it's not a good comparison but I feel like Charli XCX's mixtape is much better than this album...
Apart from the singles most of the songs sound really 2-3 years ago. Maybe the only new song I like is "Only You" but production-wise it also sounds outdated.

Am I the only one who finds it kind of funny that literally half of the album is singles? Jess Glynne's debut is even funnier. It's a debut sounds like an all-time best compilation.

Hopefully it grows on me more because I was really looking forward to this :( Okay three listens in and I'm hooked. "Only You", "Sundown", "One Mississippi", and "Funeral" are jams and really ahow off her vocals. "TG4M" and "Don't Let Me Be Yours" are cute pop songs. "I Can't Fall in Love Without You" is a good piano ballad which her voice works really well for. "What They Say" and "Make That Money Girl" are kinda cool minimalist message songs, even though they're my least favorites, but I think she could explore this style more and get better results. That said, none of them would be good singles and the five existing singles are still far superior. I stand by "I Would Like" being her only shot at a US hit.

This album is fine, but I feel like I still have no idea who she is. Everything is so generic in terms of theme and sound that you could tell me this was by any of the other white hook girls and I'd believe you. Halsey, Daya, Jess Glynne, Anne-Marie, Hailee Steinfeld, Alessia, etc etc etc. She could be literally anyone.

What she should do is an early-90s throwback dance album. She's totally giving me that classical Sweden disco queen look.

Outside the top-50 sales and SPS charts on HITS; the #50 album on SPS is Brett Young with 9k SPS; the #50 album on sales is the Suicide Squad soundtrack with 2,963.

No US hit since Never Forget You ages ago... I'd have been more surprised if it charted.

I don't know how this will sound but, really, has the US ever used non-native-English-yet-singing-in-English artists for more than 1 or 2 songs? Lush Life was huge here in Europe and Symphony seems to be following suit. TG4M is my fave track of hers though. Such a nice melody.

It stinks "So Good" started to plummet the week of album release at radio.... I started to get into it more after seeing her perform it on Wendy. I like her cd but I'm not sure if anything would take off now. I would love if "I Would Like" would get released even though it's sample has been used a lot lately. Maybe they should try for "Sundown" or "TG4M"?? I kind of like "Don't Let Me Be Yours" but it reminds me of Alessia Cara or Daya.. To the poster who said it was to early to release a cd here in the US. They have been releasing singles for ages.... lol I know they wanted something to stick but if they kept waiting maybe these songs would have just gone to waste because nothing was really sticking. Is the full cd doing better internationally??

The album is decent, but nothing on here was on par or even come close with "Lush Life" ... but I end up purchasing the whole record Besides "Lush Life", "Funeral" is definitely the standout of the album I like the gloomy production

Her album kinda came out like how Kehlani's did, all the pre-released tracks were the best of the albums.

I think they released her album too soon. Nobody outside of Pulse knows her. They released it too late, not too early. I'm certain this would have done better if it came out while "Never Forget You" was smashing, but it's been over a year since that started its radio run and most people have completely forgotten about her.

She was supposedly working with Dr. Luke on the album; I'm not aware of him having any credits on the final product unless he ghost-produced something, but given his legal situation and soured reputation it wouldn't be a great surprise if that were at least part of the reason why it took so long for an album to finally materialize, if they had to cut any and all songs that he was involved in.
