Yes, you read the title right. Actor, animator, comedian, writer, producer, and director Seth MacFarlane has recorded a holiday album, set to be released on September 30, 2014. MacFarlane is best known for his animated television creations Family Guy and American Dad!, both of which star multiple characters voiced by the actor. He also created and was a voice actor is the wildly popular R-rated comedy Ted. Both animated shows and film have received high critical acclaim and heavily feature (especially in Family Guy and Ted) jazz, swing, and big band themed music in which MacFarlane usually sings on.
This isn't MacFarlane's first album. He released Music Is Better Than Words, a swing/jazz album in September 2011. That album received a Grammy nomination and peaked at #111 on the top 200. Holiday for Swing featured guest vocals from Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles.
Tracklist: 1) Let It Snow (traditional) 2) Christmas Dreaming (Frank Sinatra cover) 3) I'll Be Home for Christmas (traditional) 4) Little Jack Frost Get Lost (feat. Norah Jones) (original?) 5) Snow (Bing Crosby cover) 6) Marshmallow World (traditional) 7) What Are You Doing On New Year's Eve? (traditional) 8) Baby, It's Cold Outside (feat. Sara Bareilles) (traditional) 9) Mele Kalikimaka (traditional) 10) Warm December (original?) 11) Moonlight in Vermont (traditional) 12) Everybody's Waiting For the Man With the Bag (Kay Starr cover) 13) The Christmas Song (Nat King Cole cover)

Um... wow. This is amazing. Definitely adding this to my Christmas collection. The album cover, though... Yikes.

I've never heard his previous album, but just based on his singing as Brian on Family Guy, his voice is perfect for this kind of music.

He's very Sinatra-lite and it does come off as genuine which is nice.

Seth is classically trained and I imagine he'll sound spectacular on this record. Can't wait to hear the Sara B collab. The album cover, though.
