They need to stop spreading these Iggy comparisons. Where was Iggy when Fergie was slaying in 2007?

True but LA has the biggest radio station in the country, so you may not give f**k about the city but this is radio bait for them. KIIS FM will be playing the s**t out of it. Z100 in NYC is wondering why you're spreading lies Z100 is no longer relevant.

Anyone saying this won't be a mega hit is clearly in denial. This is Fergie we're talking about coming back with a very current song. #1 is pretty much on lock.

What are these Fergie and Iggy comparisons? The latter isn't even a patch on the former, and I actually like Iggy.

Wait, why are Iggy comparisons being thrown around? Ohhhh people must've NEVER heard of solo Fergie in '07. Some need to do their research.

Super catchy! Mustard hooked it UP with the beat while Fergie's delivery is most definitely authentically her.
I like it, and I don't mind the city shout outing either, but it IS quite a basic chorus premise which makes me think burnout will be fast. Anyway, here's to hearing Stockholm and Johannesburg name checked on a #1 pop song! Fergie our global mind <3

Fergie raps better than Iggy. That's not very hard to do, though.

Just because Fergie came first doesn't mean it couldn't sound like her doing an Iggy impression. People around here get so focused on chronology but influence is influence, and hit-chasing is hit-chasing.
That said, I don't really hear Iggy here, so I agree that in this case there is no place for the Iggy comparisons. I agree with Matt that I hear more (bad) Rihanna than anything else. Not a fan. There is a catchy element to it, which leaves the door open for me hearing it drunk and then deciding I like it, but for now I have no interest in this.

I imagine it's something I'll hear at someone's pregame around my third drink being poured, and thinking "Ok, I can get with this." I also imagine myself hearing it the following day and thinking "Wow you have no taste when you're drunk" (wouldn't be the FIRST time I thought that too LMAO)

I can see the Iggy comparisons and the chorus reminds me a bit of Lil Kim's "Lighters Up" because of the shout outs I guess. It's not bad but like other's I think I like the verses more than the chorus.

"Wow you have no taste when you're drunk" (wouldn't be the FIRST time I thought that too LMAO) This potentially rings just as true about boys as it does about Fergie songs

I expected more from Fergie Ferg. I bought it before listening cause it's Fergie; but, I'm not impressed.

This is in the vein of London Bridge, and I like it for its fun element. Not a huge fan and I'm sure I will only like it on limited dosis, but like it still :) I love the fact that Fergie has her swag when rapping and then can really carry a melodic tune (last part of the chorus). I'm not a big fan of the name dropping but I think it works. The change in key of the La La Las helps to break the monotony and it's fun for me to hear her speaking Spanish with a great accent The verses do sound like Fancy but her rapping sounds typical Fergie (which I like better than Iggy's). Really hoping this is a hit!! I think it can be despite its potential high burnout rate. Give us a sexy stylish video and performance and this can become a bonafide hit!

It sounds...incomplete? Like it's trying to go somewhere, but never ends up there. The chorus sucks, it reminds me of that really terrible Left-Eye song from 2000/2001. The verses are nice though, she definitely carries it well. Mustard's beat is the best part about this.
That said, this has certainly exceeded my expectations in how entertained I am though. This sounds much much more modern than I expected, especially as the mere concept of a Fergie solo career is a mid/late 00s capsule at this point. I liked The Dutchess when it was out, but music started to change so much right after its singles were done, and once the rhythmic/pop sound morphed into dance/pop and electro/pop, before ultimately gaining influence from EDM, all of those hits sounded very very dated.

I will not be surprised at all if we start to see localized versions with slightly modified chorus cities pop up for spin bait

Where was Iggy when Fergie was slaying in 2007? Grade 11 or 12 like a normal 17 year old?
Anyways, this song is OK. I don't like it as much as any of The Dutchess singles on first listen... and somehow I don't think that will change much.

I'm a little concerned that this is still not inside the top 100 on iTunes.

Who even knows it exists yet? It's not featured anywhere on iTunes yet and I doubt there is a huge population of people who were waiting in anticipation for a solo track from an artist that hasn't been around with new material in the better part of 10 years.

I heard this earlier. I like the chorus and the production. I don't care for the verses they are too sloppy and all over the place.

I'm a little concerned that this is still not inside the top 100 on iTunes. It's Monday, not the normal Tuesday, no iTunes banner, I don't think there's a CC deal, and I feel like most people didn't even know this was coming out. It's been climbing all day, hopefully will get an iTunes banner tomorrow, and goes for adds tomorrow, which should spur a lot more airplay and sales.

I liked Fergie's first solo project. "Boys Don't Cry" is one of my favorite songs but this new single is just terrible. I personally like the pop/singer Fergie a lot better than the rap/singer Fergie. I haven't listened to anything from that current female "rapper" so I don't know if this is similar or not. I hope we get some pop Fergie on the next single.
Correction - "Big Girls Don't Cry"!
