"Boys Don't Cry" is one of my favorite songs Lol it's "Big Girls Don't Cry" This is one side of Pop Fergie. Have you not heard "London Bridge"?

After a few listens this is okay. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. It's fun, the production is nice, and it's catchy. However, I still like every single from The Dutchess far more. It already gets stuck in my head, so I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I have heard "London Bridge." It was catchy and had a pretty good video if I recall. I still prefer Big Girls Don't Cry.

This is like London Bridge and Glamorous love-child. All five The Dutchess' singles are better than this though. It's nice, it's breezy, it's catchy, good enough to hype her new album up. Second single better be killer though.

I really like the production and the verses but the hook is abysmal. It totally does sound like that terrible Nick Jr ass song Left Eye did back in the gap. I'm interested in what the rest of her project will sound like.

Front page banner on iTunes now. It's not one of the 3 that you see right away, but at least she got one! :)

The hook isnt enough to be a smash hit but I love it regardless I love the beat and how hard she goes on the verses. Once this bitch hits the stage people will see why she is a bundle of energy and not a flop fish. Fergie will perform the hell out of this.
Bring on a hot ass remix and the thirst is slowly quenched.

It feels like something is missing. Like it was supposed to have a male rapper feature.

It feels like something is missing. Like it was supposed to have a male rapper feature real chorus. ... but it's still hot, so fuck it and let's enjoy it before the burnout sets in.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't do a Clear Channel deal. This is not Fergie's best song by any means, but the beat is hot. It will likely have a quick burn rate though.

let the smashing begins I'm loving this more and more now, but of course it's nothing compared to London Bridge or Fergalicious

This hasn't even broke Top 50 yet on iTunes. I wonder if it's because no one cares or because the song isn't all that great.

Up to #59 on iTunes. Told you the banner would help Au$tin. Still, I feel like a new song from Fergie should have skyrocketed to the top 10 almost immediately. It's not like it was unknown to everyone that she was releasing a new single. I mean, I'm not worried that the song is going to flop or anything, I just found it really weird that the song is kind of casually climbing up the chart.

Fergie hasn't had a solo hit in seven years. I don't think there's all that much anticipation for this; if it's going to be a hit, it'll have to do climb up the charts slowly.

Yeah I think it was expecting too much to think this would immediately roar back into the top 10. She hasn't had a hit single in a long time and I believe doesn't quite have the diehard fan base that other people who can stay away for a long time and then come back have (like Justin Timberlake). It is catchy enough that it has a shot to catch on though especially with a hot video, performance, and some sort of push from the label.

this will skyrocket to the top 10 once she performs it on a high profile talk show
or maybe if the video is hot

I like the slow rise and it was totally expected. It's not like she had released more than 1 album to create a solid fan base for her solo career. The song is hot and I'm sure it'll end up being a big hit.

I wasn't expecting this to be an instant #1 as if it were new Rihanna or Katy Perry but the initial performance of this definitely falls below expectations. Yes, seven years is a long time, but Fergie's celebrity profile is still high enough where it should be performing better than this. Struggling on iTunes, a low number of radio adds, and Nelly Furtado-esque VEVO streams is cause for concern. We see established artists that are far more obscure than Fergie rise to the iTunes top 10 upon release day, even if they crash and fall immediately after. There just seems to be zero interest at all...

Yeah, I definitely expected this to move faster on iTunes, but, at the same time, I feel that they could have done a lot more to launch this single. The industry has changed drastically since her last release, and even since the Black Eyed Peas' last two album eras. With the way things are now, she's one of those artists where I think should have just hit them with everything all at once or at least within one week; Hourly radio deal, released to all digital and streaming services, lyric video, music video, high profile performance, etc.

Starting to wonder if they'll just ax this. It has yet to scrape the bottom of either format chart. iTunes sales are virtually nonexistent as are streams. I mean there's a slow start and then there's just DOA.

I mean there's a slow start and then there's just DOA. Honestly they have a good chance to just act like this never happened and call it a buzz single if they act quick. If she came back with some hot jam a la London Bridge, I could see THAT taking off, and people forgetting about this/never even finding out that this existed. This track is really trash, I hate to say it.
