YES! Next to King George and Don Williams, Mark Chesnutt is one of those artists along with Ricky Van Shelton and Randy Travis that forever shaped my ear on country music. I've actually never had the chance to see him live, and come to think of it since I live in Texas I have to make it a point to see him. Mark's music is just great...and his stamp on 90's country will forever live on.
Favorites: 1. Brother Jukebox (I'd be remiss if this wasn't at the top...it was one of those moments I remember on TNN/CMT and the CMA's growing up that this song will forever be in the top of my country music memories). 2. I'll Think of Something 3. Too Cold At Home 4. Broken Promise Land 5. Thank God For Believers 6. Bubba Shot the Jukebox 7. Old Country 8. It's Not Over 9. A Hard Secret to Keep 10. Your Love Is A Miracle

Mark's music is just great...and his stamp on 90's country will forever live on. Completely agree. Mark had a genuinely great voice, the quality of his material was generally high, and with a lone exception or two around the turn of the millennium, he never compromised his roots. As a result, his music has a level of timelessness that a lot of other commercially second-tier artists from the '90s lack. It's always a pleasure to revisit his music. And how did I forget about "Brother Jukebox"?

Another one of the great 90s country artists. I really enjoyed his 90s discography and felt his music was consistent. I too agree with andy and tim, I wish he could have continued I don't necessarily have and bottom singles but here are some of my favs in no particular order: 1. Too Cold at Home 2. I Just Wanted You to Know 3. Blame It on Texas 4. I'll Think of Something 5. Brother Jukebox 6. Broken Promise Land 7. Ol' Country 8. She Dreams ... ok so I like em all

I had to revive this thread if only to bring back some great classic country...that and this album track got stuck in my mind the other day for no reason at all. I realized I never listed my favorite Mark Chesnutt album tracks so I might have to come back around to this thread. Anyways, here's to the song in my head haha.

One of my favorites and very underrated. Great voice and choice of songs. He and Joe Diffie are coming to my area to perform in March.

This is the chart where Mark Chesnutt and Joe Diffie collected their first top tens. Chesnutt would peak at #3 while Diffie got all the way to the top: BILLBOARD TOP TEN FOR OCTOBER 10, 1990: 1. Friends In Low Places-Garth Brooks-Capitol 2. You Lie-Reba McEntire-MCA 3. TOO COLD AT HOME-MARK CHESNUTT-MCA 4. Drinking Champagne-George Strait-MCA 5. Born To Be Blue-the Judds-RCA 6. HOME-JOE DIFFIE-EPIC 7. My Heart Is Set On You-Lionel Cartwright-MCA 8. Holdin' A Good Hand-Lee Greenwood-Capitol 9. Jukebox In My Mind-Alabama-RCA 10. Fool Such As I-Baillie and the Boys-RCA
