I'm hopefully getting this tonight or this week. If not I'll wait until after my trip to Nashville on the 24th-26th. I CAN'T WAIT!

So far after two listens, Confession is my favorite song besides Dirt. I like the CD. You just have to remember its FGL you're listening too, and not try to compare them to other forms of country music lol

There's some truly god awful shit on here. I'm just not a fan of Tyler's vocals especially when he tries to sing fast and rap. It also doesn't help matters that most of the songs sound exactly the same with just different lyrics.

Hits predicts it will open with 180-200k. Initial estimates a couple weeks ago were 350k.

After one listen, I (still) love "Dirt", I love "Confessions", "Sippin' on Fire", and "Smoke". "Anything Goes", "Angel", "Bumpin' The Night" are all good. "Sun Daze" still sucks. Everything else I haven't formed an opinion on yet.
I will add though, that they seriously need to ditch Moi as a producer. I swear he uses the same production job on every single song he produces.

Worse than their debut. And here's why:
Does anyone understand how frustrating it is to see two people achieve such remarkable, virtually unparalleled success (as a current duo, at least) on music as incredibly lackluster and poorly-written as the stuff they've put out thus far? Seriously. Take everything else and put it to the side; the vocals, the production, everything. Look at it as if it were just the lyrics themselves. How does this stuff sell and get played as much as it does?! The lyrics are seriously NONSENSE. And not only that, but they're all saying the exact same thing in nearly every song, just put in a different way. It's not different subject matter, no matter what way you try to spin it. Everything is the same, lame, boring, overused, stale, cliché, trite, (insert synonym for "terrible and repetitive" here), etc., and yet it sells like hotcakes. That, and it doesn't differ from pretty much anything being put out by most of the other male artists, too, whether they be solo acts, duos, or groups.
It frustrates the complete hell out of me to see songs as incredible as "Keep it To Yourself" get flipped the bird by Country radio and then we see crap like their recent singles ("Dirt" isn't a strong enough argument to disguise the rest of their output) fly up the charts and stay there for weeks upon weeks, when it all says the same. exact. thing. every. time.
I'll just never get how they have fans. I'll never understand how bro-Country became so popular (fun songs are nice, but when it's all that's being offered [and for multiple years without end!], it's not fun anymore, but rather just really, really annoying). I'll never get why they still choose to never wear sleeves. They are just...useless to me. This album justifies that. ALL of that.

It's the exact same thing as their first album but probably worse. Every single song follows the exact same template so you really can't tell one from the other. It all just becomes generic pop country noise at some point. To make things even worse the lyrics are all exactly the same just rephrased and Tyler's voice is just so grating and awful. I'm sure there's going to be some big songs on the album but I honestly think this is going to be the beginning of a big downturn in their popularity. This is really sad too because Dirt proved that they can make decent music if they want to.

Genuinely shocked to see Sarah Buxton as a cowrite on "Sun Daze", really wouldn't think a female would be involved in those lyrics. I actually enjoyed their first album, but apart from really "Dirt" this is all just noise to me. Reading the titles of some like "Angel" and "Like You Ain't Even Gone" made me think they'd have some deeper material, not really. Oh well, back to Aldean, Lynch, and McGraw's albums I go! Lol
Also The Swon Brothers released a much stronger album the same day as this one, shame that they'll be completely overshadowed for this.

I made it like 8 seconds through Anything Goes, Smile is kinda but not really catchy. The rest are just boring(though none are as atrocious as Girl On The Radio on the Target deluxe). I wasn't expecting a masterpiece or anything close to it but come on enough with the party sex songs. I thought maybe Every Night would be a tribute to their fans and how they play for them "every night" but nope its a party song... Sigh..

I'll admit to liking their first album, so I went ahead and bought this at Target...starting to regret it now. It's getting difficult to tell some of these songs apart, with the exception of "Dirt" (which still isn't that great of a song in my opinion). I'm thinking (and kind of hoping) that they will die off after this album era. I think the mainstream audience is going to finally start getting tired of them.

I'll never get why they still choose to never wear sleeves. They are just...useless to me. This album justifies that. ALL of that. I want to first say that I really respect what 14887fan says in his post. I totally get where he is coming from and I can understand why he doesn't understand why people like them. But, to offer a different perspective, we have to remember that people grow up in different areas, with different upbringings, who think differently and are just, well, different. I know this sounds somewhat silly, but what took me 33 years to realize is that not everyone thinks and acts like me. Not everyone was raised like me. Not everyone shares my opinions, my likes, my dislikes and what not. For some people this music represents the only way they know how to live. They work during the week and then go out and drink and try to "hook up" on the weekends. People will do this and not think it's classless or trashy. Maybe I do. Maybe you do. But not everyone does. I totally understand how people can wonder, "How in the world can anyone like this music?" I have wondered that about many genres and many artists. But then I remember what I said above and it kind of makes sense. Now, to talk about this album, I am not that impressed on first listen. I hope it grows on me because their first album was such a feel good album for me. I think part of this is I feel like they would be better releasing albums in the summer. It's hard to listen to these "summer/fun" songs in the middle of fall with a cold winter lurking.

The songs on the first album just seemed to be more easy going and chill, for lack of a better word. Here's To The Good Times, Hell Raising Heat of the Summer, and Round Here all seemed harmless, and a little less party oriented, and more about just enjoying a moment (at least how I saw them). On this album, I just feel more of the songs follow into the big generic stereotype that country music just can't kick right now. I think the biggest disappointment though was when everyone heard Dirt, it lead many (myself included) to think that there would be more songs on the album with at least a little bit of substance, but that is not the case. Again, I say all of this while considering myself to be a Florida Georgia Line. I still have gotten the album, and I will most certainly listen to it and enjoy many of the songs, but I won't be able to think how much better it could have been.

So the album is pretty much what I expected, it won't be a purchase for me.
Basically, my review is if you liked the last album; this album is pretty much the same. Maybe a little more boundary pushing, but basically the same. I don't see much growth from the debut to now. Anything Goes is good, but not great. Everything else didn't do much for me.
Again, this is coming from someone who was not a fan of their first album. As I said, if you like FGL you will enjoy this album it is a carbon copy of the last one. If you don't like FGL, this album will not change your impression.

My favorite song on the album is Confession and since it really doesn't sound like the rest of the songs, I expect it to be a single at some point.
The first album had a lot more character than this one did. I'll give this one a few more listens before judging it too harshly.
