This is definitely one of my favorite all-time albums. It's so quirky and fun that it works. The best pound for pound tracks are "Wild West Show", "Big Time", "Six Foot Town", "Holy Water", "Deadwood Mountain", and "Live This Life". The strangest tracks are most certainly "Kick My Ass" and "Real World". There's a hoedown medley after the actual songs ends that consists of odd lyrics and unusual arrangements. "Green green grass and a rubber Russian bimbo" is just one of the lines that raise your eyebrow the very first time you hear it.
"Live This Life" and "Deadwood Mountain" will send chills up your spine. "Deadwood" is probably one of the best things they've ever written and recorded. "Drinkin' 'Bout You" is a song they wrote when they were broke in Los Angeles and couldn't afford the 10-15 dollar drinks in town. Love the throwback feel to the track even though it stylistically doesn't go to well with the rest of the album.
Just a terrific fun, yet deep and creative album that Kenny and John will never duplicate.
