A little bit whiney, but one of her better tracks. Although it didn't make AT40, it was played as an extra at least twice and did make Rick Dees' chart.

She's consistently terrible IMO. This is straight cheese and she is not vocally talented enough to pull it off.

Not her best by any means, but I do like it. She has much better soft, personal songs than this one, and I'm sure most of the people who consider it one of her best songs wouldn't be saying that if it hadn't been a single, let alone the one to propel her into the mainstream.
Completely disagree with her not having the vocal talent to pull this off though.

I do agree that it's not her best but I enjoyed it from first listen. She's had some great live performances of this song too

She's consistently terrible IMO. This is straight cheese and she is not vocally talented enough to pull it off. ehh...I'm gonna have to disagree with that, especially given the fact that she's the only person (perhaps save another person) who I've heard actually pull this song off live. Given the circumstances of the studio version's recording, I can understand that conclusion. It's no where near her best vocal performance, because her voice was shattered from all of purging she was doing in the period she recorded it. However, they deliberately did not re-record her vocals once she was well in order to preserve the rawness and honesty in the original recording. In the Spanish version she recorded later, you can hear a vast improvement in her vocal delivery. And many of her live performances were incredible. Now for the song itself, I think it serves its purpose. It's not one that I revisit a lot in her discography, but I do think it's perfect for the targeted demographic - young (insecure) teenage girls.

This is admittedly cheese, but I still enjoy it. She has far better, but this isn't bad for what it is. I appreciate the rawness of it.

It grew on me a bit but her vocals are still jarring on this particular song.

This was a good song back in the summer of 2011. Of course it isn't one of Demi's best but it is nice.

:o @ the hate on here... rude I loved this, and I think this is great in all areas Fat Ass Kelly Price nick64 - Back me up on this. I can definitely back you up on this one. I actually do think it's one of her best. The raw emotion in her voice is amazing and made the vocal absolutely perfect. The song itself is simplistic, but unbelievably powerful. And I definitely don't think the lyrics are lacking in any way. The metaphor makes perfect sense to my mind and you can tell it's such a personal song for Demi. She's putting everything she has into it. Look up live videos of her singing it and it's apparent she most definitely has the vocal chops to pull this song off. Actually, I'll just post one here. She starts the song at 1:53

I like Kerli's demo better than the final Demi product. Kerli is so underrated and written off as a poor man's Gaga.

Yeah... still not impressed. I just don't care for her voice and don't think she pulls this song off at all.

LOL at my posts here. I've definitely come around to Demi vocally (when she's on point that is). And her material thankfully stopped sucking. Still not here for this particular song or her vocal on it though.

In terms of vocal range, one of Demi's best songs.

Each chorus should have been the same as the last chorus. Would've made the song so much better.

One of, if not the best song of Demi's career It's beautiful, filled with raw emotion, wellfully written, and a major step up in maturity The build-up of the bridge into the final chorus is fantastic
