So uh I did the task I said I was going to but there's a few problems. One, a few of the songs are basically bootlegs because the originals are nowhere to be found in the emerald of the equator and two, I CAN'T FIND N WORDS IN PARIS.
At least I finally rediscovered You Make Me Feel after 8 years. Now I'm going to cry an endless waterfall of tears.

Jay Z doesn’t license his work to Spotify but like Nipples in Paris is actually on Spotify, it's just geoblocked here (presumably everywhere but the US). I told a few of my friends about it and some said it was still there for them.

UPDATE: My formula is off. Billboard published a list in their magazine that shows the biggest songs from Sony/ATV using the inverse system and it has songs like Girls Like You and Sicko Mode much higher than what I have them at. So, I'll post an adjusted list probably later tonight.

As of the Feb. 23 chart, Girls Like You is 4 on the decade end list and between 10 and 13 on the all time list, in between Shape of You and Closer.

So GLY will be #1 of the decade? Not sure yet, but it means GLY will have between 1.38M and 1.41 million points as of a month ago. Uptown Funk has about 1.46M points.

So they've increased the factor for post-November 2017 songs? There goes my plans for next week...

I'll send you the Billboard list that I saw once I'm off work and then once I figure out whatever this new multiplier is I'll let you know I'm so confused I hope they edit it once the decade is over

I'm gonna stick with the current multiplier until the official update comes out. Here's my game theory: Billboard published a list of the biggest songs by Sony/ATV from 2007-Feb. 23, 2019 in their magazine. However, the official all-time list is only updated to July 28, 2018. I have a feeling that since there isn't an update to the All-Time List just yet, a proper multiplier has not yet been added to the weeks after 7/28. Therefore, GLY and Sicko Mode are much higher than what they should be. To me, this makes a lot more sense than Girls Like You already being top 5 of the decade because if you've been watching the charts closely, you'll see a much slower turnover rate for songs in the top ten than before the most recent formula switch. It hasn't even been a year yet and two songs have already reached 30 weeks in the top 10 alone, with many songs cracking 40+ weeks overall with ease. Billboard has to account for the entire decade here, and streaming has heavily affected chart runs. I don't see why Billboard wouldn't either A. Keep the same multiplier (0.8) after July 2018, or weigh the songs less (like a 0.75 or something). GLY and Sicko Mode being so high on this particular list is pretty damn unusual. The list: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/427574194641829889/562037211839856640/IDXlTaM.png

Based on that list you mentioned, I did a fast calculation and Billboard seemed to put 1.00 as the multiplier for after July 14th, 2018 just like the sales-dominated era. The correct multiplier for this year is either 0.75 or 0.8 unless reasonings to acknowledge this as an secret pop era full of sales icons caught on to them. But another scenario is that they probably simply forgot to weigh it, that's why it looks cattywampus.

So GLY will be #1 of the decade? With 1.00 multiplier for the weeks after 7/14/2018, GLY's guaranteed to be #1... With about 4% lead over UF. I mean, it's like, the biggest radio song of all-time with that chart run that looks like somebody's writing it on purpose, so why not this too... Cattywampus sh*t. But this era's getting into some best groove yet, so nature's gonna wanna acknowledge that.

Hopefully they just forgot to weigh it because I will not accept Girls Like You being #1 of the decade. I think the current top 5 is a perfect top 5 for this decade and we don't need GLY fucking it up

The most amusing thing here is Billboard went out of ways to sabotage Uptown Funk...
In winter 2015's greatest of all-time Hot 100 chart, Billboard gave a unreasonably low 0.8 multiplier to 2015 and Uptown Funk wound up fell short of top 10. But you gotta let it finish its chart run, right? But then shady 2.0 happened, immediately in December Billboard suddenly imposed the 52/25 rule, literally right after Uptown Funk's 53rd week (at #36), and no matter how it struggled and rebounded for a few weeks in top 25, it's forced to finish its chart run, and in decade-end chart it's still behind the ominous Party Rock Anthem, the sh*t haunted me for years.
And in August 2018 Billboard published 60th anniversary chart, pulled a surprise lift to the multiplier for 2015 from 0.8 to 0.85, and I was like, finally, Uptown Funk's acknowledged to lead the decade.
And... a little over half a year later, its crown's already suspended.

Decade-End chart for April 6, 2019. Some pretty big moves, Girls Like You jumps to 7, Happier and Without Me continue to skyrocket up the chart, and thank u, next FINALLY enters the top 100 at 97. In a few weeks when Sunflower and/or 7 rings enter the top 100, there will only be songs above 700k points on the chart. Stressed Out is no longer in the top 100. Also, since Lucid Dreams and I Like It are both under 45 on the hot 100, I suspect they will be gone next week.

Niice!
Hopefully only one more song makes the top 100 (Either SUnflower or 7 rings by looking at it) so JGMaR can stay in. Or at least Timber too haha, both of those songs are worthy. If anything, I'd want Good Feeling to fall below those lol

Niice! Hopefully only one more song makes the top 100 (Either SUnflower or 7 rings by looking at it) so JGMaR can stay in. Or at least Timber too haha, both of those songs are worthy. If anything, I'd want Good Feeling to fall below those lol Sadly, I doubt only one will enter, definately Sunflower, Probably some summer smash, and probably 7 rings. Rest in peace Timber, you will be missed.

Sunflower and 7 rings will be in the top 100, not sure about WOW (50%), and definitely one song that’s not released yet. I mean, there is like 30 weeks left, TUN is in the top 100 after 20 weeks on chart.

Here's the 90s decade list. The official one doesn't follow the All-Time list so here's one that does. 1. How Do I Live - 1,449,811 2. Macarena - 1,433,431 3. Un-break My Heart - 1,355,792 I take it that Smooth isn't #1 on this list because you're only counting its points earned on or before Dec 31, 1999.
