2 months and 7 days have passed Daniel Collins. could at least lie to us and say soon lol Hahaha. I did lie on the Hot 100 predictions for 2015 coming and we know what happened with that I might be able to have a revision before this month ends. I hope I could do it earlier because just like you guys, I am also curious with the changes since I did the last update. I am just avoiding thinking about it because I am very busy right now lol. P.S. If I would update this,do you want me to post it week-by-week or just the most recent? P.P.S. I have so many plans for this thread but I just don't have the time. I really want to update the data in the first page. I also want to do chart histories for different artists. I'll let you know if I want to do something else here. :)

^Most recent should be good enough. Thanks in advance for doing so. As people have been saying, it'd give us a good idea of how much songs that were in the 60th anniversary Hot 100 could have risen or if some would have risen into it, in addition of the decade-end Hot 100 itself.

Has Psycho entered the all time 600 yet? I use a different algorithm than Daniel, but by my reckoning, Psycho is at #4 for 2018, #96 for the decade, and #1227 of all-time.
The only songs charting in 2018 to be in my version of the top 600 are #7 Shape of You, #24 Despacito, #38 Perfect, #84 That's What I Like, #116 Rockstar, #130 God's Plan, & #414 Havana.
(The differences from the quote are due to updating with this week's chart info at the last minute.)

I miss the decade end chart using real points that was being posted last year. :'( Perhaps fhas or someone could revive it, shame that the lad who was doing it had to boardicide. Also would be cool if that could be done for other charts such as the all time list, other decade end lists, songs of the 21st century etc.

That was such a great thread, gave you a real appreciation for how big some songs were that didn't really make any impact on the decade chart like "Can't Stop the Feeling"

Woah - I just took a look at the decade chart using real points:
1) Dark Horse was a bigger hit than Happy, but some of its points were split to 2013
2) Hello is really underrepresented on the Billboard decade chart compared to its real points (Top 60 with Billboard vs. Top 20 with real points). Someone Like You has the opposite situation - Top 30 Billboard but Top 60 with real points
3) Roar was as big of a hit as Firework (and a bigger hit than ET, California Gurls)
4) We Found Love is OVER-REPRESENTED on the Billboard decade chart (top 5 on the decade chart, top 30 on the real points decade chart) - in reality, it was just as big of a hit as "Can't Stop the Feeling" but one is top 5 on the decade chart, and the other is top 75-100 on the decade chart

We Found Love was a bit underwhelming to me, I'm shocked it's so high on the decade chart. For a digital hit, it sold about 5.2 million copies, which is definitely good, but it's not groundbreaking, especially in 2011 when digital sales were huge.

Anyway...
I wonder where "Perfect" ranks on the Decade-End chart now in terms of Billboards formula? I wonder if it's just entered the top 10 or is lingering somewhere in the top 15. "God's Plan" also.
"In My Feelings", with its 10+ weeks at #1, should have been a top 25 Decade-End hit also, by all intents and purposes, but considering it's poor longevity now that it's on the verge of leaving the top 10 after leas than 15 weeks perhaps that's not going to happen.

I have an unofficial list but it was pretty close to Billboard's top 600, especially near the top of the chart. You can see it here (as a quiz where the song and years are displayed and you have to remember the artists).
Based on my methodology, Perfect is #10 for the decade, & #41 of all-time. God's plan is significantly further down, at #114 on the all-time list, but I'm not certain I've included its last few weeks of chart positions on this quiz. I'll check later today and update if needed. It will not have surpassed Perfect, as using this methodology, Perfect was already ahead even without chart points before Dec 2017. (It charted as early as March 2017)

:) Hey Daniel, i know you’re very busy and still figuring out the new formula for billboard’s all time list and such... i was just wondering if you have a new projected date for when you will have some updates on the decade end list for artists/songs :) i remember u telling us the end of October you’d have something for us but I’m sure so many other things have come about since then for u. Just wondering! i appreciate(and I’m sure everyone else does as well) that you do these. No pressure btw!!

Perfect-11 God’s Plan-14 Girls like you-36 currently I like it-66 currently Psycho-70 currently Nice for what-71 Meant to be-73 Lucid dreams-91 currently In my feelings-97 currently Better now-128 currently The middle-137
I hope this can be helpful while we are waiting for an update.

With the recent Billboard change, I wonder if "All I Want For Christmas Is You" will enter the 2020s decade chart (pretty cool because it probably misses every year end).
It seems like it squeezes 2-3 weeks in the top 10 per year, and could probably accumulate 50+ weeks in the top 50 alone.

It's only spent 5 weeks in the bottom half of the top 10 this decade. Might end up with 9 weeks in total.
