Oh my god she MUST win the best pop vocal album This version probably wasn't needed in literal sense but I'm glad we have it Not that I'm rushing the weekend, but looking forward to her performance Sunday night.

I think the Marilyn / president performance was in poor taste, considering it was done on 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. She got some bad press for that.

Yeah that AMA performance was a mess even though in a "love it" kinda way. It also lost quite a lot of the magic of DWUW And as we're discussing it, here are my top 3 of her award show performances: vimeo.com/158715667Paparazzi at the VMAs 2009, still classic and an obvious choice. This cemented my Gaga fandom! vimeo.com/31739516Marry the Night at the EMAs 2011, simple and effective! She's channeling this with her tour opener Diamond Heart this time around vimeo.com/9177802Poker Face/Speechless/Your Song with Elton John at the Grammys 2010. QUEEN(S)!

I think she should re-release Joanne with The Cure, a remix of Perfect Illusion, another new song and close it with the piano version of Joanne

Speechless is a timeless classic from The Fame Monster But honestly every song from that EP is still great, only ones that lost a bit of charm are So Happy I Could Die & Teeth But those first 6 songs are timeless On my walk today both Alejandro & Dance In The Dark came on Still love both Alejandro though >>> The tri pop-perfection of Bad Romance, Telephone, and Alejandro as singles was fabulous

Well that was refreshing. She needs to do performances more often that are focused on the song and not the theatrics. She didn’t change up the song, she didn’t have a bunch of Queens in thongs around her, and she had a clear and strong vocal, good for her

I was hoping for an acoustic Joanne but damn she owns MR, tonight she tops all her live performances of it.

Now she doesn't stand out (as much). I'm glad (and knew) she can pull off these types of performances but I miss when she was okay being different.

I feel like this whole era has been based on the acoustic qualities of her latest album. Opposite of flashy. Her vocals this era have all been strong, clear, and PRESENT. Not everyone can say that. EDIT: Her best vocals ever...

Agreed Gaga this era has been very focused on just the songs themselves Which is nice cause her vocal delivery is top notch right now She still serves routines and such on tour though, but it's more fleshed out and the vocals are still very focused on But Gaga has slayed in every era Tonight's Performance:

I was complimenting her performance, not dissing her. Don't get defensive :)
I was appreciating the fact that she gave a simple straightforward performance all the way through...no acoustic versions of album cuts, no shouting of her vocals, etc. It was a beautiful version of Million Reasons and Joanne.

Well, I am not saying she should just put on a tshirt and jeans and remove any sort of style or panache. But what made me tune her out after awhile was all the theatrics. They just got to be too much and distracting and got in the way of the music for me. Everything from the Kermit outfit, the steaks, the broom headpiece, the artists canvas, the horns, etc. It is nice to remind the world every once in awhile that the reason you got a record contract is because you can deliver a beautiful vocal. It does not mean she has never done it, I am just saying she should show that side of herself more often. Good for her though.

She looked absolutely stunning and she slayed her performance, as usual. I was hoping she would have sung more of the Joanne acoustic version but it was still great.
It's just my opinion, but I was not here for the Ed Sheeran wins, especially in both categories. Oh well.

But, I am not entirely surprised for various reasons. Though I do have to point out that his album/most recent music is literally the worst reviewed out of any of the other nominees.

Her performance last night was spectacular. Only setback was that rough final note. But, that hardly meant anything in the grand scheme of things. Her vocal was pristine.

Gaga been serving us VOCALS for years now. I'm glad the general public is taking notice cause Queen can sing.

It's funny how anytime Gaga does anything in a public setting she gets noticed and praised - except when she releases her own albums. Not that they get ignored but they get passed over, meanwhile she's slaying every award show performance and speech this side of Artpop.

Yeah, it's kind of weird, but in a sense I feel she's much more respected as an artist now. That said, the material just hasn't connected in the same way her early hits did. Did hear The Cure at the mall today! Go back to Pop, Gaga.

They should've at least tried to push "John Wayne" or "A-Yo" to the radio. I think they are nice blends of her old and new directions. But I respect her decision to went with "Million Reasons" full-force.

She hasn’t released an album worthy of her talents in several years. Artpop was a mess and Joanne was a bore. But the talent is there, and the public goodwill is there. If she can make music that connects again, she could have a phenomenal resurgence.
