So I guess we will get a half hearted attempt at a 2nd single ….good 1st week album sales then off the charts in 10 weeks and nothing. I do not get why she does not try other means of promotion for her new songs such as commercials and ads etc. It is a shame because the material deserves more attention. I think you are assuming too much. Didn't Guy say that 2015 will be all about RH and not touring? I thought she mentioned a tour to Ryan Seacrest

Any AC/Hot AC adds?
Like I said earlier. I don't think Interscope even tried.

No. The only adds it got were the 15 CHR/Pop adds (8th most added at that format).

it's weird an artist of her stature didn't either open or close the grammys. her performance was just kind of sandwiched in there. it seems like the tide has turned on this song, only a little while ago people were predicting big things. they should have definitely promoted this in january. I was thinking the EXACT same thing until I read she performed on the most watched Hour/time period of the show.

Living for Love US Airplay:Monday, February 9MADONNA – Living For Love: 0.576 (+ 0.315) (The gain reflects a spin each from New York's Z100 and Los Angeles' KIIS during a live interview.) Tuesday, February 10MADONNA – Living For Love: 0.587 (+ 0.011) KCDU-FM - Santa Cruz KFRH-FM - Las Vegas KKPN-FM - Corpus Christi KLCA-FM - Reno KLJT-FM - Tyler KLLY-FM - Bakersfield KRCK-FM - Palm Springs KVLY-FM - McAllen KZBD-FM - Spokane KZCH-FM - Wichita WAYV-FM - Atlantic City WNOH-FM - Hampton Roads WRVQ-FM - Richmond WVYB-FM - Daytona Beach WXXX-FM - Burlington WXYK-FM - Biloxi WXZO-FM - Burlington XHTO-FM - El Paso A bit of a silver lining...a good number of stations (anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 the panel) don't report their adds ahead of time, instead relying on auto-adds the following week (if a station doesn't report adds, any song receiving at least seven spins the prior week is an automatic add). From today's reports, at least three non-add stations are giving LFL new spins. Two iHeartMedia stations are likely adds, and one I consider to more likely be test spins - but all three are added to the list above. Additionally, many stations change their playlist at midnight on Wednesday morning, so more LFL supporters could appear with tomorrow's report. And one last good sign - of the four stations that have started spinning so far, all are playing LFL throughout the day, not relegating it to just obscure, little-heard overnight spins. Additional factors that could work in LFL's favor, although I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too high: neither AllAccess nor FMQB shows any songs currently going for adds next week, so stations might be more likely to give LFL a second listen if they have open spots they want to fill. If I recall, even Girl Gone Wild picked up close to ten stations in its second week, giving it enough momentum to crack the CHR chart. Also with 18 or so adds under its belt, LFL will start showing up on the Taking Off and (possibly) Spincrease daily updates, which could get it some more attention. And the industry still shows signs of interest - LFL is currently the third most downloaded and second most streamed track by program and music directors at AllAccess. A lot depends on how much the label is going to push. The banners are still flying at AllAccess and FMQB and have been updated to link to the video and to indicate LFL was "most added" at Top 40 (a generous claim, but I suppose it did fall within the top ten). So hopefully the push will continue for a week or two - maybe all the way to the album release. Suspiciously, the song has not yet been sent to HotAC or Rhythmic, so I don't know what the label is thinking there. HotAC I think would be especially willing to join this party, and instead LFL doesn't have a single add at the format . I do wonder if there was some sort of disagreement between Madonna and the label regarding the first single. I believe this album (what I've heard of it) deserves a strong second single campaign, and of the nine finished tracks I've heard, I've reconciled myself to the fact that Ghosttown is the best candidate. I've heard it on satellite radio and at the gym, and it's a standout. It would be perfect to tie to a movie or television event. Add the fact that it's a fan favorite and radio has expressed some interest, and hopefully you have a winner.

Just to note, "Goodbye" by Who is Fancy goes for adds next week. It should do fairly well, but it has already been added by a lot of the key stations. And, yeah, regarding "most added" -- the term has been completely bastardized. For whatever reason, certain media outlets and record labels ignore the meaning of the word "most" and use it to refer to the abstract concept of being in the top ten. So, you'll actually see things like #3 Most Added or "A Most-Added Song This week" instead of the more academically correct third-most-added or "one of the week's most-added songs."

They still haven't uploaded the Grammys performance on Vevo? I was able to find it via one outlet (not on YouTube). Let me add that my favorite mix is the Offer Nissim- love that intro used for the Grammys performance.

^I think that was a bit outdated- it was five rungs lower when I checked an hour or so ago, and it's now two spots lower than that (well, three spots higher excluding her three instant-grat tracks, which are not selling more than LFL outside of the pre-order).
The Grammys boost has come and gone for most performed tracks.

I know Madonna is not Rock and/or Male like U2 they have a track at HOTAC Top 20 Airplay and it's indeed beyond strange her team didn't send this to that format, what are they thinking!! I think 'Sorry' had some success there!!

True- even some of her least successful U.S. singles have charted at Adult Top 40. While not real recent, "Hollywood" and "Celebration" peaked in the 30s at the format.

Was celebration serviced for adds to Hot AC upon release? Yes,It was!! And that great song was ignored as well!! It got intial spins at Hot AC then it quickly fizzled. I'm in Boston #10 Market (Big Daddy) and they added intially, when it became apparent others were not on board they staggered it off the playlist!!

So maybe the smarter strategy is to just focus on CHR and if it succeeds then AC will automatically follow suit

It wouldn't hurt to send the song to AC. It would probably at least chart there. Top 10 or even Top 20 would probably be out of reach though, without establishing itself at CHR/Pop or Hot AC first.

I know when a station ADDS that doesn't mean immediate spins.
But,has anyone begun spinning?? Hopeful during the day not just overnight???

I just saw the performance at the Grammys for the first time.
Probably get crucified but...I thought the Grammy performance was awful and did no favors to the song, not surprised it didn't do much for sales.

I wish people stop pretending the Grammy performance was supposed to conclude with a Number 1 @ Itunes.
That never was going to happen. The track has done stupenously well without Airplay.
With an adnasum TV Commercial & Radio Advert the Album sales should be decent.

It's #124 now. When do you think is the right time to release single #2?

I think single 2 (Ghosttown) and an unprecedented radio deal (being that Ghosttown is a previously heard song) should coincide with album release

The Grammy's really only gave all songs performed a 24 hour boost and non went top 10 unless they were already there. Many dropped faster than LFL.
Her team needs to understand radio is going to be difficult and market her songs via commercials( ads) and tv show etc previews. I also think Madonna should release several videos for songs.

Wednesday, February 11 MADONNA – Living For Love: 0.620 (+ 0.033)
Through yesterday, six stations show up as "starters" for Living for Love. Starter stations have given the song at least two spins in the past seven days after giving it none the week prior. The only new station not on the above list is KKMG Colorado Springs. The six stations have given LFL 18 spins - 4 overnight, 2 morning, 1 midday, 6 pm drive, and 5 evening.
Two stations already supporting LFL will be added to the CHR/Pop panel next week: WMFQ Gainesville (10 spins) and SiriusXM's Venus (32 spins).

Looks like this won't even chart. Oh well. They should send Ghosttown to Hot AC.

I wish people stop pretending the Grammy performance was supposed to conclude with a Number 1 @ Itunes. Not even one person said that...oh please a great many of you have intimated that one way or another. Now enough of the song should have performed better than it has. And just wait and see if the label and her time come up with a real adnasum strategy that will generate strong Album sales!

No one said that it should have went #1 one on iTunes, now you're exaggerating. I don't think anyone expected this to be a big hit, but I thought it would at least hold up just a little bit better after the music video/Grammys...
