THIS WEEK'S SPS CHASER: As promised, we follow up this week's album mini-chart with a corresponding SPS (Sales Plus Streaming) roundup. What's different once singles and streams are factored in? Among other developments, Taylor Swift fortifies her lead (thank you, "Blank Space"and "Shake It Off"), Nicki Minaj and the newly platinum Pentatonix switch places, Sam Smith adds 21k, Hozier hops up to #15 and Garth Brooks, who's not streaming or selling individual tracks, drops two spots. Speaking of streaming, let the holiday booze flow! (12/23p)THIS WEEK’S SALES CAPSULE: We won’t be compiling a full album chart this week, but here in its place is the Top 15 in sales for the week, which ended on Sunday, 12/21. Seaking of Pentatonix, as we do below, That's Christmas to Me has just passed the 1m sales milestone. Look for our SPS (sales plus streaming) chart right here later today. (12/23a)YOUR TOP 15: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. As expected, Taylor Swift returns to the top this week as things start to ramp up in the holiday home stretch. Here’s how it looks headed into the last shopping weekend before Ol' Saint Nick drops in: 1. Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 340-350k sales / 390-400k SPS 2. Pentatonix (RCA) 200-210k sales / 210-220k SPS 3. Nicki Minaj (YMCMB/Republic) 165-175k sales / 180-190k SPS 4. J. Cole (Roc Nation/Columbia) 115-125k sales / 130-140k SPS 5. D’Angelo and the Vanguard (RCA) 95-100k sales / 105-110k SPS 6. Garth Brooks (Pearl/RCA Nashville) 80-85k sales / 80-85k SPS 7. One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 80-85k sales / 90-95k SPS 8. Sam Smith (Capitol) 75-80k sales / 85-90k SPS 9. Barbra Streisand (Columbia) 70-75k sales / 70-75k SPS 10. AC/DC (Columbia) 65-70k sales / 70-75k SPS 11. Carrie Underwood (19/Arista Nashville) 65-70k sales / 70-75k SPS 12. Michael Bublé (Reprise) 60-65k sales / 70-75k SPS 13. Ed Sheeran (Atlantic) 60-65k sales / 90-95k SPS 14. Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 1 (Hollywood) 55-60k sales / 55-60k SPS 15. Idina Menzel (Warner Bros.) 55-60k sales / 60-65k SPS 16. 5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 55-60k sales / 60-65k SPS FYI, Walt Disney’s Into The Woods soundtrack continues to grow in sales, a week ahead of the movie’s opening. The updated projection is now 35-40k sales / 35-40k SPS. (12/19a)YOUR NEW RELEASES: Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint is on track for next week’s biggest chart bow, followed by D’Angelo’s out-of-the-blue return. We also see a live set from 5SOS (featuring some punky covers mixed in with the Aussie band’s originals) and another highly touted soundtrack from Disney. Here are this week’s key debuts, with album-sales forecasts followed by likely SPS (Sales Plus Streaming): Nicki Minaj (YMCMB/Republic) 155-165k sales / 170-180k SPS D’Angelo (RCA) 95-100k sales / 100-105k SPS 5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 50-55k sales / 55-60k SPS Into The Woods (Walt Disney) 28-30k sales / 30-32k SPS Charlie XCX (Atlantic) 24-27k sales / 27-30k SPS In other Nicki Minaj news, the star’s 2015 calendar has substantially raised public interest in the issue of what day it is. Oops at Nicki. I was thinking J.Cole's numbers would have been a glimmer of hope for her as well.

Oh dear god all are flopping (except 5SOS), especially D'Angelo who I thought would do Sade-esque numbers.

That's pretty good for Nicki, imo. She is rebuilding herself after the mess of her last era and how she neglected her urban fan base for her pop ones.
Excellent numbers for D'Angelo.

You expected Sade's numbers especially with the out of the blue release for D'Angelo? I think he had potential to open with at least 250k but then again, he will strongly rely on physical sales and I'm pretty sure those will go up later on.

D'Angelo's album is only available at select retailers. Those numbers are fine.

Once again, the "cool" indie/alt/pop female act does the same 15-30K. Doesn't seem to matter whether you have a number one single (Tove Lo, Charli) or struggle to break radio (HAIM, BANKS). That's just what you do.

That's just what you do. The key is to have several hit singles. And Tove Lo is actually having quite nice chart run, still top 100 as we speak. I doubt that Charli will ever have a hit single on her own again.

Oh please . Nicki's numbers are good. When you factor in the time of year, promo, producers, and number of big-name features...

Producers and features are irrelevant when you can buy the featured songs seperately from the album. Her numbers are good with all those things factored in. She's pulling in similar numbers as other big acts outside of Taylor Swift who is the only artist to go platinum this year.

I dont know why people though Charli was going to sell much. To be honest, nobody knows who she is. They liked Boom Clap, but really didn't do much for Charli personally, plus it peaked months ago. Singing hooks on Icona Pop and Iggy songs isn't going to get you 100k opening.

Fantastic opening for D'Angelo.
Nicki's numbers are fine. Nothing outstanding given her past record (it's a step down from pulling 250k during spring despite the time lapse), but a solid showing given the less than stellar setup and rollout. She's proven that she can still get people to check for her in 2014, she's succeeding moreso than not.
Charli's were expected.

I have no idea who Charlie is or what he made but considering I dont know him those are good numbers
Edit- Never mind i googled it and she is is the one who sounds like Gwen on that song I didn't care for. Considering America doesn't know who she is then yeah not bad numbers.

I expect Into the Woods to move wayyyy up after the movie release. I predict it might even go to #1.
