This is about as close to accurate as we can get, but that site only updates once a day, and it's totally plausible for a song to go from #5 at one point of the day to #3 another, and then drop back down to #5 or lower before the next day. |

That was quick. Thanks. Cool. So this is comparable to her other first singles. Would be nice to have some sort of promo today or tomorrow to shoot it up some more.
And why didn't I know about that site that shows iTunes peaks for artists? Thanks for the link. (I did check Reba's current single and it says 38 but I know it got a few notches higher but did fall back down within the same day. But still, this is a good and close enough resource.)

I'm finally getting to hear the full thing right now (#badstan).
It is a tad underwhelming for me, but it sounds like a huge grower. For me, the chorus makes it. The production in the chorus is crazy good. I was really hoping for a much more hard hitting high note at the "one more time" line, lol. I like it. Nothing amazing, but it sounds like it'll be just the song Kelly needs to kick off the era. Should do well on pop, slay hot AC (which it's already doing by the looks of it!), and keep her in the spotlight to kick off her new era well.
Speaking of hot AC, it was played 454 times yesterday, equivalent to what "Shake It Off," "Uptown Funk," and "Riptide" should be getting on that same format (placed #11-13 right now).

For me, I find Since U Been Gone, Addicted, What Doesn't Kill You, and Underneath The Tree as being by far Kelly's most memorable songs. After three listens, I don't think Heartbeat Song comes close to those four. A nice Pop song that should have success on three formats, but I have a feeling the electronic banger will be much more to my liking. I should have avoided the reviews. I don't consider it to be a happy song either.

My first impression of this was that it reminded me of something Avril Lavigne would record. I don't know how to feel about the "up up up up" parts because it reminds me of when Patty4President makes a "pop hit" that basically just repeats words at the end of lines (like Colbie Callait's Try and how it repeats "try try try try") but the song is catchy and it will be a hit so I better recognize!
I still like Mr. Know It All more but I definitely place it ahead of Catch My Breath and probably My Life Would Suck Without You.

Looks like CMB got 19 adds on its adds date (and had picked up 18 adds prior), the panel size was 166. MKIA got 37 adds on its adds date (not sure about how many it got prior to that), and the panel size was 157. Heartbeat Song got 43 adds today (with no prior adds of course), and the current panel size is 175 |

im wondering if this will get a radio edit. the end of the song can be a little too repetitive. after the bridge, they could do one full big chorus, and jump to the part where the music drop.

I have to say, you literally can sing The Middle's chorus over this one's with ease. It's weird how I didn't even notice the similarity until others brought it up, but now that's all I can hear. Maybe because that song is so old, didn't even think to think of it. I wonder if this was a case of subconsciously recalling an old song's melody when they were making it? Like what George Harrison claimed happened with him on My Sweet Lord. I certainly don't want to accuse it of being intentional.
