This is up to #18 on iTunes. Wasn't it in the 30s a few days ago?

It looks like #21 is the highest this will go. Damn. The curse of Never Again is back! It's still gaining at Top 40. Why can't it reach higher than num.21. There's been songs in the past that have just stuck around and slowly increased. Maybe this is a grower for some people. I didn't like it all that much when it first came out. Now that I've heard it on the radio a couple of times and saw her perform it on GMA I'm starting to get into it.

Given the fact that it's rising on iTunes and nearing top ten there, it actually may not be done yet on CHR. If its sales hold up it will start getting more spins. I do hope this can end up a hit even though I'm not really here for it, but for the era's sake.

^^ Agree. On iTunes USA, it's at #13 and will be #11 by am as two new releases this week rapidly fall, and possibly #10 if it's momentum continues to pass up Flo Rida.

I honestly don't know why so many of you are against this song. It's so catchy! It's much better than MKIA. Not better than Catch My Breath or Dark Side tho. But I think I even prefer it to Stronger.

It doesn't look bright at the moment, BUT, promo just recently rolled out. I would say just because the bigger stations didnt jump on this early doesn't mean it won't be a big hit. I'm going to guess this gets to #17 or 18 as things stand now, but I wouldn't be surprised is a second wind carries it further. Let's see if DC gets behind this like it seemed they might.

Every lead single she's released has gone Top 10 on the Hot 100. It would be nice to see this join that club. I think a performance on either Idol or The Voice could help too.

It's sad this isn't doing better, but I hope it can at the very least get a top 20 peak on the Billboard Hot 100.

i think this is enough. let it peak on hot AC n AC, then release 2nd single ASAP. i'd like this era to last more than 2 singles.

I'm ready to move on as well, but this not doing well on pop really doesn't bode well for future singles. This is looking like it could be another Never Again/Sober situation. Ugh!! Her best albums have the worst performing singles. I hope this isn't the curse we are discussing in a year.

My first impression of HBS was that it did a good job of sounding like a hit single from KC while also feeling fresh and current. I think it could have been, may still could be a hit. However, they dropped the ball on two counts: not enough promo, and lackluster digital presence.
Clearly Kelly should have done a slew of radio interviews when this premiered. She has great chemistry with DJs and they would have been more inclined to spin the song had she charmed them up front. Also, an hourly spin deal for the Pop radio premiere would have been a worthy investment. The recent itunes performance shows that the public does connect with this song, they just not enough have had a chance to hear it.
Moreover, HBS should have gotten a video treatment that is deserved when a legacy artist drops a 1st single after having taken a hiatus. Her last album generated a mega-hit single, went platinum and won a grammy. On the heels of that, RCA should have given Kelly/PBP the rollout it deserved. Instead, we got another cheap looking video, lil promo and an official website that still features the design of a 3-year old album. Honestly seems like the debut of this album was rushed for some reason.
More hindsight, they may should have dropped TYH as the lead single. I love it...not absolute positive it would have been a smash, but it def would have gotten people's attention and let them know Kelly is back and breaking new ground.

I love it...not absolute positive it would have been a smash, but it def would have gotten people's attention and let them know Kelly is back and breaking new ground. I don't disagree with any of this, but I'm not sure pointing the finger at RCA is necessarily fair. For all we know, this is all at the behest of Kelly herself. When MKIA came out, the roll-out was immediate, and there was additional promo for the album release. Kelly's videos do not get a big budget, no, but she also has little interest in them and often writes the bland treatments. Kelly may have wanted to give herself more time before she launched into the work part of things--more time with River, more time to get her voice in shape, more time to lose a bit of weight, etc. As you mentioned, RCA is a bankable, important star for the label; given how they've worked together and how the label has worked her last three album offerings (Stronger, Greatest Hits, Wrapped In Red), I find it hard to believe they just shrugged their shoulders at her new album release.
