Can anyone recommend some Rodney Crowell songs/albums? I'm a huge, huge Rodney Crowell fan. Almost all of his albums are worthwhile, but I can't recommend The Houston Kid enough. The greatest country album of the last twenty years for my money.

What are some good Trace Adkins albums and songs? His first three albums are my favorite (Dreamin Out Loud, Big Time, More...) with Big Time being my personal favorite. I also really enjoyed his X album. My personal favorite song of his is Songs About Me Others: Metropolis Wayfaring Stranger Took Her To The Moon She's Still There Sometimes A Man Takes A Drink Til The Last Shots Fired Can't Outrun You This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing I Left Something Turned On At Home Ride You're Gonna Miss This I'm Tryin Help Me Understand The Rest Of Mine Lonely Wont Leave Me Alone

I only know Ride because you made me aware of it in the Songs Involving Transportation thread :)

Can anyone recommend some Rodney Crowell songs/albums? Also Earl Thomas Conley? The one that broke Rodney Crowell big would be Diamonds & Dirt. I would also get Life Is Messy for his version of Lovin' All Night that Patty Loveless remade years later. As for Earl Thomas Conley, The Essential E.T.C. would be a great place to start. I would pick up Too Many Times for the title track with Anita Pointer, The Heart Of It All for the duet with Emmylou Harris, We Believe In Happy Endings (also for his version of Finally Friday that George Jones cut that WYRK plays during the Breakfast Club), and Yours Truly for the Keith Whitley duet, Brotherly Love. It is strange that NONE of those duets are on the Essential CD.
