I am a big fan of songwriters and think they deserve much more credit than they get, so I figured we should make a thread for them. I thought that since they are so important and some artists take notice of songwriters they really click with, it'd be fun for us to come up with artists who have recorded multiple songs (singles and album cuts) from one songwriter. I'll start...
John Rich - Jason Aldean "Hicktown" "Why" "Amarillo Sky" "Johnny Cash" "I'm Just a Man" "Who's Kissing You Tonight" "You're the Love I Wanna Be In"

Also, (random side note) I know that isn't for the Golden State Warriors, but as a fan I have to say that the emblem looks perfect for them. Same colors and the crossed swords fits well.

George Strait going to the Dean Dillon well on nearly every album comes to mind.
I've also noticed that very few artists who had a hit with a Dennis Linde song ever recorded another one. Mark Chesnutt (It Sure Is Monday, Bubba Shot the Jukebox), Eddy Raven (In a Letter to You, I'm Gonna Get You), and Shenandoah (Janie Baker's Love Slave, Heaven Bound) come to mind as the few who did his stuff as singles twice.

I've saluted the two Eddy Raven songs in my column. Great stuff from Dennis Linde (Burning Love by Elvis Presley is one of his, too).

Natalie Hemby for Miranda Lambert:
Revolution: White Liar, Only Prettier, Airstream Song, Virginia Bluebell Four the Record: Baggage Claim, Fine Tune Platinum: Automatic, Platinum, Girls, Priscilla, Babies Makin' Babies, Smokin' and Drinkin, Hard Staying Sober
Little Big Town used to co-write most of their material with Wayne Kirkpatrick (who also produced for them before they switched to Jay Joyce for Tornado). Kirkpatrick has writing credits on almost everything from The Road to Here, A Place to Land, and The Reason Why.
Hillary Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, Tom Shapiro, Troy Verges, and Tony Martin are all songwriters that have been popular with Sara Evans over the years. She's also co-written quite a few songs with her brother Matt Evans, mainly on Real Fine Place and Stronger, which he helped co-produce as well.

I haven't heard a peep from Scotty in forever by the way. His last co-write with a Toby single was "Get My Drink On" and his last co-write single for anybody I believe was "Like My Dog".

I found it interesting that Toby stopped writing with Scotty Emerick around the same time he started writing with Pinson. I wonder if he and Scotty had a falling out? It is intriguing. I always wonder what makes them stop or get out. On another note relating to songwriting. I have a distant family member who was a songwriter for EMI in the late 80's. He penned an "awesomely bad" song that he thought would go nowhere. He sold ALL the royalties of it for something like 50k because "no way would anyone release this". A Swedish Group took it to the top of the pop charts in 1989. I know he "got out" at that point. Hard to continue to do something when you see the cash go down the wayside because of it. A decision that, like many songwriters, are forced to make to "get their break" or bank on that break never coming. For him, it truly cost him millions in royalties. Furthermore, his story makes me like the art of songwriting even more and truly appreciate the risks these guys have to take. I gotta believe Emerick wasn't getting the right cuts released or Show Dog slowing down and the royalties not coming in didn't make it worthwhile for him to continue. He is, more than likely, very well off financially and if he did things correct with royalties doesn't have to worry about a check coming in for years.

Carson Chamberlain - Easton Corbin "I Can't Love You Back" "This Far from Memphis" "The Way Love Looks" "Let Alone You" "That'll Make You Wanna Drink" "Leavin' a Lonely Town" "A Thing for You" "Dance Real Slow" "This Feels a Lot Like Love" "Only a Girl" "Clockwork" This has a lot to do with Chamberlain being a producer for Easton, but it's still a lot of songs.
There is also a whole lot of Darius Rucker/Frank Rogers co-writes on Rucker's albums. Just the singles... "Alright" "History in the Making" "This" "Miss You"

Dierks Bentley and Brett Beavers have a writer/producer relationship much like Easton and Carson as Kentucky pointed out above, they are not as prolific as they used to be but they stlill have written some great songs together, heres the singles they co-wrote: What Was I Thinkin' Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do Come A Little Closer Settle For A Slowdown Every Mile A Memory Long Trip Alone Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go) Trying To Stop Your Leaving Feel That Fire I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes Home
And also 5 of my favorite album cuts from the pair: Wish It Would Break Gonna Get There Someday Prodigal Son's Prayer(w/The Grascals) Distant Shore She Won't Choose Me(fun fact: their first co-write together)

Bob McDill for Don Williams, never go wrong there Dean Dillon for George Strait The team of Hank Cochran, Don Cook, Chick Rains etc that wrote alot for Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin and Randy Travis (country's golden ages for me!) Scotty Emerick was TOby Keith's right hand man before Bobby Pinson (wonder what happened to him??) Chris DuBois and Frank Rogers wrote alot for/with Brad Paisley (college buddies from Belmont , and Rogers produced first 5 Brad albums)
