After double checking my numbers I did make a few minor mistakes over the year and they have been corrected for the next update. Thanks Jonsolo for your yearly update. I always love them and I thank you for continuing posting. It's good having 3 of us on this project. We all make mistakes (not too many by Jon, though) and I know I've corrected my numbers based on seeing the work both you and Jon have done. I feel committed to updating the Whit-list through the end of what BB considers the decade, that is through 2019. I just hope a few of the artists who stay on the charts are performers I actually like. It's a real punch in the gut to see people like Vince, AJ, Patty, Reba, and of course George disappear from the active list. (Come back, George. Stick around, Urban.)

Nice to see you recognizing Brad and Kenny's recent achievements. There will be some interesting events happening in the first quarter of 2015. 2 new entries in the top 200. 1 new entry in the top 300 (probably with FlaGa's next single, not this one). Toby trying to stay on the chart long enough to pass Ernest Tubb, and Garth trying to do the same to pass Loretta Lynn. Kenny getting ready (when his next single debuts) to pass Alabama. Keith Urban can pass some artists too, but that will happen in the 2nd quarter, not the first.
Very entertaining. Thanks for your careful updates.

How many points until Reba hits the top 5. And what kind of chart positions and number of songs are needed for this to happen?

How many points until Reba hits the top 5. And what kind of chart positions and number of songs are needed for this to happen? 1. (1) Eddy Arnold – 12667 2. (2) George Jones – 11976 3. (3) George Strait – 11203 4. (4) Johnny Cash – 9449 5. (5) Conway Twitty – 9101 6. (6) Merle Haggard – 9058 7. (7) Reba McEntire – 8420 8. (8) Dolly Parton – 8308 9. (9) Webb Pierce – 7975 10. (10) Willie Nelson – 7919 Reba needs 682 points to make the top 5. She'd tie with one less.

You're welcome, as for chart positions for Reba to make it... 5 #1's which last at least 20 weeks would be the quickest way, 11 top 40's that last the same would also just about do it. There's a possibility she makes it but I'm doubting she has that much points left in her.

^Oh wow! That's a huge feat at this point. But at least she's top ten and the top female.

Poor George. I still think he has a shot at #2, but it would take help from friends on duets and a career defining album at this point. Not likely to happen but I'll keep hoping.

Tim's Top Ten Timer: Tim McGraw is 392 points from breaking into the top ten of all time!
Top 100 Watch: Jason Aldean is now 244 points away from the top 100 of all time! Meanwhile I'm going to start watching Dierks Bentley and Montgomery Gentry's progress once they're withing 300 points and they're both close!
Jason Aldean becomes the 112th artist to pass 2700 points! (2700)
Dierks Bentley & Montgomery Gentry spend what's probably the last time they're going to see each other on the chart at #120 together! (2609)
Luke Bryan passes Rosanne Cash moving to #140! (2231)
Zac Brown Band break their tie with Craig Morgan and pass Lee ann Womack, Doug Stone, Bob Luman, and Joe Nichols moving to #176. (1896)
Eric Church passes Wynn Stewart moving to #198. (1673)
Jake Owen passes Sylvia and Dickey Lee moving to #217. (1528)
Chris Young breaks his tie with Ty Herndon going to #261 alone (1266)
Big & Rich pass Billy Joe Royal & The Band Perry while tying Bobby Lewis at #285. (1156)
Lee Brice passes Randy Barlow moving to #294. (1074)
Florida Georgia Line passes Johnny Bush moving to #304. (998)
David Nail leaves Jessica Andrews behind as he moves on to #387. (746)
Easton Corbin becomes the 399th artist to cross 700 points! (700)
Gloriana break their tie with Spade Cooley to claim #435 alone. (607)
Thomas Rhett ties Big Al Downing, Foster & Lloyd, and Hawkshaw Hawkins at #438. (599)
Bubbling Under (509 pts. to chart)
01. Brett Eldredge (508) 02. Dustin Lynch (468) 03. Frankie Ballard (461) 04. Tyler Farr (433) 05. Eric Paslay (349) 06. Cole Swindell (308) 07. Jon Pardi (297) 08. Ashley Monroe (226) 09. Will Hoge (71) 18. Kelsea Ballerini (56) 19. Jackie Lee (53) 20. A Thousand Horses (47) 21. Mickey Guyton (37) 22. Steven Lee Olsen (35) 23. Josh Dorr (33)

Are you going to start following Grace Potter's total after the new Chesney single makes its chart debut? You've got other artists way down to the 30's. Of course I realize she's not the lead artist on her songs, but on the other hand she's so good.
It was obvious that Luke was going to pass Rosanne, but I have to say it hurts me every time an artist goes past her. That's because she's my all-time favorite female artist, so I think whoever passes her doesn't deserve to. (Nobody passes my favorite male artist, Merle Haggard, so I don't have to feel that one. Reba and Tim are a long way off.)
I have Eric Church at #198 too, moving up from #202 thanks to his strong 42-point week. And now Rodney Atkins will enter the top 200 as well, tying 2 artists next week and then passing them the week after. He's not going to drop all the way off in 2 weeks, after all, so it's safe to count on him. Rare to see 2 artists passing milestones back-to-back.

There's one area Rosanne Cash and Luke Bryan will have in common: eleven chart toppers for each artist. However, when Bryan gets his 11th, I will have him at #50 on the list of those artists with the most #1s while Cash will be at #47.

I'm also sad when people pass Rosanne as I really love her as well but it happens to so many great names that it's not worth worrying about in the end. As for Grace Potter, I already have her tracked with 102 points so far. I'm sad she didn't get points for "El Cerrito Place" though I understand why on that one. As long as she's credited for "Wild Child" I'll track points for her! I'm hoping one day she can chart as the lead artist cause I absolutely love her!

I didn't realize Potter wasn't credited on the Chesney song. Maybe she can make up for it by singing a duet with Rosanne Cash....

I have a physical copy of Kenny's album and Grace is credited on there, so I imagine that Billboard will credit her as well. Kanenrá:ke was just saying that, as long as Billboard credits her for "Wild Child", then he'll track the points that Grace (and Kenny) will accumulate from it. So I imagine that Billboard will indeed credit Grace. Kenny and the label are marketing the song as "Kenny featuring Grace" just like they did for "You And Tequila". Billboard didn't credit her on "El Cerrito Place" (which she also contributed background vocals to), but Kenny's album didn't list that as a "feature" either, so it made sense that she didn't receive credit on ECP, but did for YAT.

Sometimes I should slow down and read something a couple of times, but I'm in a hurry to get things done -- I rush and rush until I misread Pulse posts. I'm in a rush to get Potter into the Starr group of songs, so anything that deprives her of points is going to irritate me -- come on, Chesney, featuring an artist won't do you any harm, and might improve the quality of your songs.

Luke Bryan passing members of the same family. I wonder how many points Brady Seals would have if you combined his Little Texas singles, his Hot Apple Pie singles, and his solo singles. That would be interesting. Keep up the good work, K.S.! Love these updates.

Love these updates. Well he only had three Hot Apple Pie singles, so that unfortunately would have contributed little to his total. Still wish they had released another album.

Well I have the answer for the combined total! Brady scored 203 pts. solo. 145 pts. - with Hot Apple Pie 1440 pts. - with Little Texas so total points is 1788!
