Anyone else think they might decide to push this as their attempt at Stateside-breakthrough, given its #1 UK bow? I've had the feeling that they were ultimately waiting to see how this would fare upon UK release before moving either one forward. In addition...I also can't help but think that if they were absolutely going to push "Desire", no questions asked, then that would've at least had an adds date by now. I was thinking the same to be honest and I agree that the reason why Interscope didn't push "Desire" before in the US was because they were waiting to see how this will perform in the UK, despite it was mentioned earlier on the AllAccess iHeart Music Summit article as an upcoming release. "King" already sounded like an easier shot at a US breakthrough than "Desire." Now that it's so massive internationally it's truly a no brainer.

I like "Desire" more than this, but this is also superb. Whatever gets released first, I hope both get a shot in the US. They both sound like smashes in the waiting.

They might be going for "Desire" for the lead in the US. The EP is currently on the front page of iTunes and "Desire" is the second highest hot track on the front page. I think "Desire" would do better imo, but I see both being successful.

[I realize I just outed myself as someone who watches that mess past 2012 ]

I'm torn right now. I've just checked the Top 40 playlist from PlayIGA and "Desire" isn't listed anymore, being "King" the only one, so I thought that Interscope may be opting for this instead of "Desire", but I don't know with the recently info to be honest.
Anyway, I'll be glad with whatever they send to the US radios at the moment honestly.

Video has been added to MTV Hits, MTVU, and MTV2's video playlists for rotation starting next week, which gives it a better indication that it will be the breakthrough single to launch them here.
And they're performing at the MTVU Woodie Awards this Friday as well.

Yay! Unlike most people here, i would choose "King" above "Desire" because it is more instant and so catchy! :)
