Unhinged Chart Beat
Grabbing a second frame at No. 1 is Carly Rae Jepsen with "This Love Isn't Crazy." Her time at the top might be cut short as Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande shift 7-2 with "Rain On Me." Gaga was last in the Top 5 earlier this year with "Stupid Love" which spent 4 weeks at the summit and it becomes Grande's highest placement since 2019's No. 1 "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored." Former No. 1 "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)" by The 1975 slips 2-3.
The Neon Trees score the Greatest Gainer with "New Best Friend" which climbs 22-14 and Britney Spears debuts at a healthy No. 21 with her 37th chart entry "Mood Ring." Featured on the Japanese release of her last studio album Glory, it was recently released to Spotify and charted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Digital Song Sales. I thought it was worthy of inclusion on my chart so it becomes her first entry since 2016's No. 1 "Slumber Party." Look for it to make big gains in the coming weeks.

Lady Gaga #1 and Britney top 3!! Wow!! It's like we've been transported back in time to 2011. Love seeing "Cruel Summer" debut, too.

Harry Styles lifts 3-1 with "Watermelon Sugar" scoring his first No. 1 as a result. He becomes the second former One Direction member to reach the summit after Zayn who hit the top in 2016 with "Pillowtalk." Together they best both Liam Payne (who hit No. 2 as a featured artist on "Get Low" by Zedd in 2017) and Niall Horan (who managed a No. 3 peak with "Slow Hands," also in 2017).
"Black Parade" by Beyoncé is the weeks Greatest Gainer as it races 28-12 and Charlie Puth grabs the Hot Shot Debut honor with "Girlfriend" which enters at No 25.

Amazing #1! I’m just realizing how nice of a summer jam “Watermelon Sugar” is; I liked the song to begin with but it sounds so good in hot weather (at least for me haha).
Also that gain for “Cruel Summer”!!

Unhinged Chart Beat
Harry Styles sits comfortably at No. 1 for a second frame with "Watermelon Sugar" while former No. 1 "Mood Ring" by Britney Spears (which was her 20th topper) rests at No. 2 for a second week. Both songs will have to contend with a growing threat from Weezer, who climb 5-3 with "Hero."
Charlie Puth scores the Greatest Gainer this week with "Girlfriend" which moves 25-12 and the Glass Animals debut at No. 30 with "Heat Waves" grabbing the Hot Shot Debut.
Some of you may have noticed that "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift is no longer on the chart. That's because it doesn't appear to be a single or have a music video and therefore is ineligible to chart since in order to do so at least one of those requirements must be met*. So, I replaced its run w/"Breaking Me" by Topic & A7S, a song which I have been digging for some time now but have neglected to chart.
*I recently made an exception to this rule for "Mood Ring" but it turns out that it's an official single now, so, cool.

Unhinged Chart Beat
"Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles stays healthy at No. 1 for a 3rd frame whilst holding off a surge from Weezer who shift 3-2 with "Hero." They knock former No. 1 "Mood Ring" by Britney Spears down from 2-3.
Troye Sivan scores the Hot Shot Debut with "Easy" which enters at No. 29 and Dua Lipa rockets 35-20 with her latest "Hallucinate."

"I Hope" stuck @ #8... hoping there's a chance it can still climb up a little bit more. <3 Shouldn't "Queen of Broken Hearts" be blackbear not Blackpink tho?

I realized that when I went searching for that new BLACKPINK song and didn't find one. BTW the chorus of that song reminds me of a Maroon 5 song. "This Love". Not too shabby.

Back from holidays with a new No. 1 as Charlie Puth climbs 3-1 with "Girlfriend." He tosses "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles to No. 3 after 4 weeks at the summit. Both songs book-end "Secrets" by Regard & Raye, which holds at No. 2 for a second frame.
Troye Sivan races into the Top 10 with "Easy" which scores the Greatest Gainer honor this week as it rises 19-8.
Lastly, Nothing But Thieves grab the Hot Shot Debut with "Real Love Song" which enters at No. 28.

Manson debuts. I forget. Is this the first time you chart him?
Also on a side note. Go check out "Nights" by Neon Trees. I think you'll dig that one.

Nah, I’ve charted Manson a few times going back to the ‘90’s. He had No. 1’s with “The Beautiful People” and “The Dope Show" and a couple other Top 10's ("Tourniquet" and "Rock Is Dead"). This is his first entry since 2015’s “Deep Six” which peaked at No. 13. That’s funny you mention “Nights” as I just added that to my playlist! It’s great!
