This was a song on Whitney's final album, "I Look to You." It was produced by Stargate. This is one of my favorites on that album.
I liked Johnta Austin's demo as well:

In retrospect, "I Look To You" was the perfect lead single for her final album, but at the time, I was annoyed they were leading the project with "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" and "I Look To You" when she had much more contemporary material like this on it. Love it.

Love this. This and 'For The Lovers' should have been singles! Not sure about 'I Look To You' being the best first single though, I also love 'Million Dollar Bill,' it's too bad radio wasn't on her side.
She is just so sexy and smooth on this. RIP.

I really like this one, along with Million Dollar Bill.

Eh. Typical Stargate production, and the chorus doesnβt stand out.
