This was the title track and the second single from her second album, released in 2005. It was produced by Lil' Jon. It bombed, but I liked this.

I remember rolling my eyes when I heard she was jumping on the Lil' Jon bandwagon. But it ended up being hot as hell anyway.

This should've been bigger.

It's so strange to me that she never took off. The material was there.
I think she was just too low-profile.

I expected this to be bigger. Hated Lil' Jon then and still hate this sound, but the song was catchy.

Love this one! Don't really have too much else to say about it., but I love the sound. Too bad it bombed.

Why this song never took off will forever be one of the biggest mysteries of the 00s. This song was HOT as hell AND the video was on point. "1 Thing" was big enough to allow anything she released next to go top 10 on urban.

The mystery of Amerie's floppage...
I still don't fully understand why subsequent Touch singles bombed. At least Because I Love It was rumoured to be shelved because of her dissing Beyoncé on her mixtape even though they were label mates.

I think I only checked this song out because of '1 Thing', and I kinda liked it, even though the vocals and instrumental sound like they're in different keys making the song come off like a bad mashup.

Loved this!!! The little Indian influence, the slight sexy talk in the chorus, everything about this track I loved. I don’t get why it flopped so hard?
