Hozier releases every song off his album at once and tells the stations to figure it out. And the consensus will be everyone giving Take Me To Church copious amounts of recurrent play for the next 18 months.

I love this now. It's subtle, but it hooked me. I honestly think he'll be a one-hit wonder in the US regardless of which song he releases as the next single.

Impacted this week, and netted 5 AAA adds, and only 3 Alternative adds. It already had quite a few preimpact adds on Triple A, so it should be okay on that format, but it looks like it might be a struggle on Alternative.

Love this, much better than "Take Me to Church". I agree though that he'll probably be a one-hit wonder regardless of the quality of his music. The success of "Take Me to Church" was one of the most surprising chart performances I've seen in years, but I don't think it generated enough interest in Hozier himself for a follow-up to be successful.

I don't think this is nearly as radio-friendly as "From Eden" or "Take Me To Church" and I didn't even think either of those were that radio-friendly. I love Hozier, but I think he'll end up being a one hit wonder.

#130 on iTunes despite the very minimal amount of airplay it is receiving...Still nowhere to be found on the Top 50 of the Alternative chart, however. It's so baffling given the massive success of "TMTC" on Alternative.

It's so baffling given the massive success of "TMTC" on Alternative. It's not all that surprising. Alternative already tried to play "From Eden", which went top 50, but his label wouldn't follow-through on pushing it, so although this is pretty much technically the second alternative single, it's being treated like more of a third single after a second single flop. Terrible promotion, and an even worse choice in ditching "From Eden"

I still want Jackie and Wilson or Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene next.

Also these are still a problem. 119 77 HOZIER From Eden 49 26 +23 0.628 107 110 HOZIER Angel Of Small Death And... 29 31 -2 0.042
My local Alt station just bumped From Eden from ~25 to 37 weekly spins. Alt has no unity over which song to play, the label took too long and now Hozier's doomed to only having one hit.

Ugh this one is so boring. Why the hell would he send this and not "From Eden"? It would have at least been a moderate hit, this will bomb.

This is a beautiful and lovely song but damn it is not a radio song! Now Hozier is doomed to live his life on AAA.
