I hope she finally comes to Brazil. I swear it would be her biggest show ever if she did the FESTA DO PEÃO in Barretos. As for a new album - I have to say (dont hate me) and agree with a member above. Shania was a product of Mutt, without him she cant make the same magic in studio

Shania pretty much is going the way of Barbara Streisand. Stop touring and keep recording. I know that Barbara has never been shy about saying how she hates performing live, but I always thought Shania enjoyed it. I would to know more about her reasoning. I know once she does release a new album her fans are going to want to hear those songs live. Shania's hero Dolly has said that she will "drop dead" on stage if she has to cause she plans to play live so much longer. I wish Shania would follow Dolly's example and not Bab's. She actually said on the Vegas DVD that she suffers from stage fright. I'm sure she enjoys performing live, but it's probably not as easy for her as it seems. Especially due to the troubles with her voice in recent years, although she's apparently working through that.

I can't wait to see her in Toronto!!!!! I watched her Vegas show on TV and I think this show is going to be amazing, even though it will be different. Her songs are perfect for concerts.

A fan from a Shania message board just posted this from a recent interview in Canada:
Afterwards, she says, she’ll be leaving the stage but not retiring — a long-awaited new album is in the works, with songs she’s penned herself. She claims the music will be “soulful … I don’t know if the public will consider it the best work I’ve ever done, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m enjoying it so much, and I don’t want it to end! That’s why I think I need to say goodbye to the stage.

Trying to get my pre-sale tickets now and they are extremely overpriced for the venue here on Long Island. Similar seats are cheaper at Madison Square Garden!. For some reason, no seats are coming up as available at MSG though (they did for a second, but I tried again and now nothing is coming up. Wtf...)

Got floor tickets at the Boston Garden. I was actually trying for the club seats, but couldn't pass up the floor.

I caved and got floor seats too (Nassau Coliseum here on Long Island), despite how poor I am at the moment lol. I couldn't pass it up knowing this is my first and probably last time seeing her live.

Got my tickets to the Saskatoon show! I'm so excited! Haven't seen her since I was 6 or 7 when she was doing the Come On Over tour.

Got level 2 seats for the San Diego show. I was going to do floor but I'm only 5'4 and I can't see over a lot of people. Plus, I've already had the chance to get close in Vegas. From my seats I can view the whole stage and from what I've heard from friends who have sat in that area, it is a really good spot. So excited!!

Why do a last tour and not tour your first new album in 11 years? I would be itching to sing new material, especially after singing the hits for 2 years in Vegas.

That's the one piece of all this that just doesn't make sense and I wish of these interviewers would ask her just that. As a fan I love listening to a new album imagining how the music will sound live when the artist goes on tour. Shania has taken that away from fans before the album is even released. Being 50 and a female is hard enough to be releasing music to Country radio, but radio really likes to play songs from touring artists. Shania is really shooting herself in the foot with this decision and taking half of the air out of the tires before the trip even begins. Without touring I don't see how the new album will even have a chance at being a success. She has been out of the mainstream way too long and I see her new era going the same way Garth's is currently with radio. But at least he is touring for his new music. I know she did it with "The Woman in Me" album but she was in her 20s and the hottest new artist on the planet, she got a pass. This time other than the "curiosity spin" for the first single, she won't be so lucky without touring to promote it.

Because, while Shania may truly may believe she is putting an album out soon, after being a fan of hers for 20 years, I realize that's probably not going to happen. So maybe deep down she knows that too. Or maybe her album that she puts out isn't "concert friendly."

I definitely see her putting out a new album since she's basically said it's almost finished. But I still think she should've waited to do this farewell tour until after the album comes out. Sadly, the album will probably flop without a tour to support/promote it and I think Shania will stop making music after she realizes that (aside from maybe doing a Christmas album).

Billing this as a final tour, she just set a trap for herself before to under mind everything else she does after it's over. I'm surprised that her marketing team didn't see this and stop her from saying that on Good Morning America. When she said it I instantly winced knowing she has a new album coming out and that was just the wrong timing to say that. I don't know when a good time would be. I just know that wasn't it.

I definitely see your point, but perhaps Shania didn't want to mislead her fans in case some of them were contemplating skipping out on this tour in hopes that there would be another one after. Also, announcing this as your last tour is a good way to sell tickets. P.S. Shania hinted last night on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen that there might be an international leg. She said something along the lines of "We're gonna start in North America". So perhaps there is hope for international fans.

Shania contradicts herself all the time and i would not take anything she says as gold lol Take it with a grain of salt. She says what she thinks the fans want to hear at that time. I do agree with the comment made earlier that why announce this as your final tour when things can change at any time. She is only 50 and if she likes performing at all then i doubt very much this is her final tour.

Things change, and obviously she's had a lot going on in her personal life that have caused changes in plan for her career. I also don't think she enjoys performing live as much as you think. She's said many times how she's struggled to get back up on stage after everything with her voice and her divorce from her husband. She's also mentioned that she suffers from stage fright. So if she says this is her last tour, I believe her. Of course, she could have a change of heart but I doubt it. It seems like as of right now, she doesn't plan on touring again after this.

I would imagine it's the latter because the WalMart version would only be sold there and I do not think all the sales would have come from there.
